Half of Durres drinks polluted water
Durres – For some days now half of the coastal city, including the Plazhi and Shkozet area are drinking polluted area.The old water supply network in most of the city and peripheral areas has alarmed the citizens who after complaining to the Water Supply Facility have addressed their concerns to the Hygiene and Epidemiology Directorate where they submitted samples of water for analysis. According to laboratory expert N.M “ the water received by the citizens, samples takes in the areas of Plazhi, Shkozet, Nish-Tulla, and other peripheral and central areas, has larger than accepted bacterial percentage. It is too polluted and I don’t understand and refuse to believe that the Water Supply facility would remain indifferent toward such a fact”. The water pollution has alarmed also the different food production companies that have switched to other water sources. The water pollution in the coastal city remains an “old” problem, which requires immediate intervention.

Die Dänischen Experten für den Hafen von Durres verlassen das Land, weil u.a. nach 2 Bomben Funden (II.Weltkrieg), niemand mehr diese Arbeiten versichern will. Das ist ja wohl mehr wie lächerlich.
Danes depart from Durresi Port
Durres – The Danish company that had taken over the deepening of the entry channel of the Durres Port has departed the country causing the suspension of the works due to the discovery of two bombs released by a military aircraft during the Second World War, threatening the completion of the project in due time.The Danish company that has received 3 million Euro for the deepening of the entry channel and port basin in the framework of the 17 million Euro EIB Project on the modernization of the Durresi Port has resigned further works. The reason for the resignation is the objection of the machinery insurance company “ROHDE NIELSEN” to allow the use of dredgers under such risk of damage. Though two months have elapsed from the discovery of the two bombs and the works for the deepening of the entry channel continue to be suspended, no emergent solution has been found as of today
