Es ist doch eine tolle Idee, das Edi Rama
eine Party Nacht in Tirana organisierte!
Überall gab es am 30. November, Musik bei voller Stadt Beleuchtung und einem Historischen Background.
Gute Idee, Edi! Ein Hoch dem Weltbürgermeister 2005!

Bright Night in Tirana
30 November 2005
The Municipality of Tirana organized the “Bright Night”, a party where no one sleeps. Lighting the night, Tirana enlivened its quarters, streets, public and historical spaces, cinemas, museums and theatres with activities that brought a new perspective to the city’s spaces, streets and squares, creating an unusual climate and a party environment.
Tirana Municipality had planned numerous activities on the occasion of this night. The activities were going to take to place in all Tirana’s squares. Tirana lived under the rhythms of pop, modern and traditional music, under colourful lights in main squares and under the rhythm of the City’s Band. At the entrance of the Art Gallery, war’s veterans revived their war songs under the warm light of partisans’ fire.
Meanwhile, a series of surprises were reserved to numerous visitors that were expected to inundate from all over the country, the same as one year ago. In the meantime, the Mayor of Tirana, Edi Rama opened the municipality’s doors for the citizens to visit its settings. Alongside with the most distinguished Albanian singers, many artists from different parts of the world are going to participate in this event as well.
During last night, the city was not going to fall asleep, absorbed by lights and music, freed from noises and thoughts, from the heavy weight of daily activities. Tirana lived with all its historical background. The city enriched with proposals, figurative arts, music, dance, theatres, installations, visual and audio effects, cinema, shops, bars and restaurants and with various events, displayed another vision to city’s squares, a configuration that united all participants in a spectacular show, creating an unordinary climate.
The squares were invaded by participants from Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia who celebrate a collective party, where the daily events got the scent of an event. The Bright Night now is transforming into an authentic tradition for our city, as it happens in all European metropolises.
