Coca Cola may buy Next
SUBOTICA – Due to financial troubles, the Fresh&Co drink company may be forced to sell its most well known brand, Next.
The Coca Cola HBC company is one of the potential buyers of Next. Fresh&Co has for the last several months been having serious financial difficulties and has no other way of returning its credit loan to the European Bank for Restoration and Development other than to sell Next, according to daily Blic.
“We were not able to receive official confirmations of discussions being held between the two companies, but Coca Cola told us that besides the purchasing of several Vlasinska Water factories, they are interested in expanding onto the juice market and that they are looking at all options.” according to the daily.
The news of Fresh&Co’s financial difficulty may come as a surprise to much of the public. The Next brand raspberry juice received the award for best new juice in the world last year and an award for the best packaging of a glass bottle product for the Bocca drink line, while company President Zivojin Djordjevic was voted manager of the year in many polls.
Wie es aussieht, hat Fresh&Co finanzielle Probleme wegen eines Kredits der europäischen Entwicklungsbank.Ich sehe eine mögliche Übernahme unterschiedlich. Für die serbische Wirtschaft wäre es natürlich schade, ein derartiges Vorzeigeunternehmen zu verlieren, auf der anderen Seite gebe es auch enorme Chancen, da die Produkte von Fresh&Co durch eine Übernahme urch Coca Cola weltweit vertrieben werden könnten, und damit Arbeitsplätze gesichert, oder neue geschaffen würden.
