Griechische Unternehmen sind vor allem in Griechenland, aber in den letzten Jahren aufgrund der Wirtschaftskrise auch vermehrt international tätig.
Griechische Unternehmen sind stark im Balkan und im Nahen Osten aktiv.
Dabei spielen Banken, Telekommunikationsunternehmen, Lebensmittelketten und Schmuckmarken die größte Rolle.
In diesem Thread sollen möglichst viele griechische Unternehmen vorgestellt werden, die international/ national tätig sind - unabhängig ihrer Größe.
Selbst das kleinste Unternehmen ist interessant. :)

Folli Follie Group is a Greek-based international company which designs, manufactures and distributes jewellery, watches and fashion accessories. Through its subsidiaries it also operates duty-free shops and sporting goods retail outlets.


The company was founded in 1986 in Greece by Dimitris Koutsolioutsos (Greek: Δημήτρης Κουτσολιούτσος). The first shop was in the commercial district of Athens. Folli Follie started by manufacturing jewellery and in 1994 launched their watch line. In 1995 the first overseas store opened, in Japan. It is now ranked amongst the top 10 brands in luxury goods in Japan with 80 points of sale. Folli Follie fully acquired its affiliate in Japan in 2008.[2]
In 1997, Folli Follie was listed in the Athens Stock Exchange. Capital was used to fund growth and geographic expansion. Folli Follie is currently active in 25 countries, including the UK (London; New Bond street & Glasgow; St Enoch Centre), Switzerland (Geneva), Japan (Tokyo; Ginza area), France (Paris), the US (New York; Madison Avenue), China (more than 120 shops) and Russia (Moscow; Red Square); it has over 380 points of sale.[3]

The company's design team consists of Italian, Swiss and Greek top designers who work together to present two collections per year;Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer. The collection's highlight is the premium K collection which includes limited edition jewellery and accessories pieces. Folli Follie 's philosophy is to offer a "full fashion concept" of branded, modern jewellery, watches and accessories at affordable prices. The company also offers a men's watch collection, re-launched in March 2006 under the brand name Folli Follie rather than the "Triton" under which it was offered earlier.

Folli Follie Group has a strong presence in the Greek travel retail market in through the Hellenic Duty Free Shops. It has several points of sale in duty free shops in airports around the world as well as in-flight in major international airlines. The group represents other brands in Greece and abroad, such as Coach, Converse, Patrizia Pepe, Helly Hansen and Harley Davidson. The company also controls "Elmec Sport", "Factory Outlet" retail chains and a large department store in central Athens, "Attica".

Korres ist ein Unternehmen mit Hauptsitz in der Athener Vorstadt Metamorfosi, das Naturkosmetik und Produkte für die Körperpflege entwickelt, produziert und vertreibt.
Das Unternehmen geht auf die älteste homöopathische Apotheke Athens zurück, die 1996 mit der Herstellung von Kosmetika begann. Bis heute werden die Produkte des Unternehmens in Griechenland exklusiv über Apotheken vertrieben. Im Ausland werden unter dem Namen Korres Athens auch eigene Stores betrieben. Die Waren und Produktpräsentation ist einheitlich und einfach: Aus Euro-Paletten werden Podeste gebildet, auf denen die Produkte auf einer Glasscheibe platziert werden. Hellenic Petroleum S.A. is the largest oil refining company in Greece and with its roots dating to 1958 with the establishment of the first oil refinery in Greece (Aspropyrgos).
It adopted its current name in 1998, changing from the Public Petroleum Corporation S.A. (DEP), as the result of a corporate reorganization. It is a consortium of 9 subsidiaries and a number of additional companies of which it has varying degrees of management control.
Refineries and gas stations

Hellenic Petroleum operates three refineries in Greece, in Thessaloniki, Elefsina and Aspropyrgos, which account for 73% of the refining capacity of the country (the remaining 27% belongs to Motor Oil Hellas), and one in the Republic of Macedonia, the OKTA refinery, which is supplied by crude oil through pipelines from Thessaloniki and covers approximately 85% of the country's needs. Crude oil for the refineries is supplied from Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Libya and Russia. The company also operates over 1400 gas stations in Greece and about 350 gas stations in Albania, Georgia, Serbia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Montenegro and the Republic of Macedonia. It also has a network which sells LPG, jet fuel, naval fuels and lubricants.

Hellenic Telecommunications Organization S.A. (Greek: Οργανισμός Τηλεπικοινωνιών Ελλάδος Α.Ε.), usually known by its Greek initials OTE, is the dominant telecommunications provider in Greece.[2] Along with its subsidiaries, is one of the largest telecom groups in South Eastern Europe. OTE Group offers broadband services, fixed and mobile telephony, high-speed data communications and leased lines services. In addition, the Group in Greece is involved in a range of activities, notably satellite communications, real-estate and professional training. At present, OTE companies employ over 30,000 people in 4 countries. Formerly a state-owned monopoly, OTE's privatization started in 1996 and is now listed on the Athens and London Stock Exchanges. Since July 2009 Deutsche Telekom is the largest shareholder of the company.

RomTelecom: OTE owns 54% of the share capital of RomTelecom, the main telecommunications operator in Romania, providing fixed-line services (voice, broadband, data and leased lines) and satellite TV services to the local market.
The OTE Group mobile telecommunications subsidiary, COSMOTE, is also present in mobile telephony in:

Die MYTILINEOS Holdings S.A. (griechisch Μυτιληναίος Α.Ε. - Ομιλος Επιχειρήσεων, wörtlich: Mytilineos AG -Unternehmensgruppe) ist eines der größten griechischen Industriekonglomerate mit Sitz in Marousi, einem Vorort von Athen, Griechenland. Die Aktien der Gesellschaft sind unter dem Kürzel MYTIL im Athex Composite Share Price Index und im FTSE/Athex 20 an der Athener Börse gelistet. Das Unternehmen entstand 1990 aus einem alten Familienunternehmen, das seit 1908 auf dem Gebiet des Hüttenwesens tätig war, und seine Aktien werden seit 1995 an der Athener Börse gelistet. Es ist vor allem in den Sektoren Metallgewinnung, Bergbau, Energie, EPC-Anlagenbau und Fahrzeugbau tätig und hat Tochtergesellschaften in Rumänien, der Türkei, Syrien und Pakistan.

Die Gesellschaft ist auch Eigentümer der Bleihütte Sometra in Copșa Mică (deutsch Kleinkopisch, ungarisch Kiskapus), einer Kleinstadt in Siebenbürgen, Rumänien, die als größter Umweltverschmutzer Europas angesehen wurde [3], aber seit 2008 stillgelegt ist.

Titan Cement ist ein griechischer Konzern mit Sitz in Athen. Er gehört zu den größten Zuschlagstoff- und Zementherstellern weltweit. Die Zementproduktion des Unternehmens beträgt in Griechenland 6 Mio. Tonnen (was einem Marktanteil von 40% entspricht), die größte Produktion ist jedoch im Ausland. Der Umsatz betrug 2007 1,497 Mrd. €. Das Unternehmen ist im Athex Composite Share Price Index an der Athener Börse gelistet.
Geschichte [Bearbeiten]

Die TITAN Cement wurde 1902 gegründet und wird seit 1912 an der Athener Börse gehandelt. 1999 wurde ein Joint-venture mit Lafarge begonnen, 2000 wurde Tarmac Inc. übernommen. Weltweit unterhält Titan 11 Zementwerke, davon 4 in Griechenland, 2 in den USA (Virginia und Florida), 3 in Südosteuropa und 2 im Nahen Osten. Weiterhin 67 verarbeitende Betriebe u. A.
Die Hauptverwaltung des Unternehmens befindet sich im Athener Stadtteil Ano Patissia.

Coca-Cola HBC ging im Jahr 2000 aus der Fusion der Athener Hellenic Bottling Company (zuvor auch 3E oder TriaEpsilon) und der Londoner Coca-Cola Beverages hervor. Das Unternehmen produziert und vertreibt die Produkte der Coca-Cola Company in 28 Länder, darunter Nigeria, Österreich und Italien sowie ganz Osteuropa inklusive Russland. Des Weiteren werden auch Produkte anderer Unternehmen abgefüllt und vertrieben wie beispielsweise Nestea.
Zur Coca-Cola HBC gehört auch die österreichische Mineralwassermarke Römerquelle und die Schweizer Valser.
Coca-Cola HBC ist zu 23% im Besitz der Coca-Cola Company, zu 23% im Besitz der Kar-Tess-Holding und zu 54% in Streubesitz.
