In CSI Las Vegas wird die Ermittlerin Sara Sidle von der Schauspielerin Jorja Fox gespielt.

Wisst ihr (v.a. die Albaner), ob sie albanischer Abstammung ist?
Sie sieht ein bißchen danach aus und ich hab mal gelesen, dass ihr Vorname dem alb. Xhorxha (keine Ahnung wie man das ausspricht) ähnlich sein soll....

Würd mich interessieren, ob jemand was weiss...

Nein...sie ist keine Albanerin! Sie ist, soweit ich weiß, Amerikanerin!

Aber das sie Albanische Vorfahren hat ist gut möglich!

She is part of a production company called Honey Pot with Heather Grody (Murmurs singer/guitarist). They produce plays and recently a musical called Dear Bernard, written by Grody.

Went to Melbourne High School in Melbourne, Florida for two years before being "discovered" in a model search at a local mall.

Her name, Jorja is pronounced Georgia (like the state Georgia in the US)

Her mother was from Montreal, Canada.

Parents immigrated from Montreal, mother Marilyn (Belgian-Canadian, b. 1927, d. 1996), father (Irish-Canadian, b. 1924), older brother Jeff (b. 1957).[/B]

Co-founded the experimental theater group Honeypot Productions.

In July 2004, Fox was fired from the hit show "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" (2000) for refusing to sign documentation stating she would return to work. Her co-worker, George Eads, was fired the day after she was for not showing up to work. Reportedly both actors wanted more money. Fox returned to work the following Thursday after being fired, and Eads the next day.

Is a dedicated vegetarian, and an aspiring vegan.

Has the following pets: Ali (dog, female, Boxer), Rumplestiltskin (cat), and Sid Potier (cat, male, formerly named Sid Vicious)

She ranked #80 in Stuff's '103 Sexiest Women' (2003).

She enjoys traveling, playing the guitar, and singing.

Und warum sollte sonst ihr Hund "ALI" heissen... :lol:

Soviel ich weiß, entspricht das englische 'j' vom Lautwert her dem albanischen 'xh'. (Vgl. Enver Hoxha, den müßte man auf Englisch 'Hodja' schreiben.)
Finde es daher auch seltsam, daß sie sich 'Jorja' und nicht - wie im Englischen üblich - 'Georgia' schreibt... :?
