Macedonia's ESM Distribucija cuts off power in hopes of collecting debts

Customers with outstanding debts to Macedonia's ESM are finding themselves without power. Also in business news: a Belgian company plans a ski resort in central Anatolia, Serbia continues its membership in the World Bank and Albania's Albpetrol takes over a smaller company.

The Macedonian power utility ESM Distribucija has begun taking action to collect outstanding bills, cutting off the electricity supply to debtors across the country. Debts of the central and local government to ESM are estimated at 11m euros. Over 50 per cent of the Macedonian ministries do not regularly pay their bills, according to the utility.

IN Albanien ist der grösste Schuldner auch die Regierung und Staatliche Institutionen.

IN Albanien ist der grösste Schuldner auch die Regierung und Staatliche Institutionen.

Deshalb wurde ja Mazedonien von über 200.0000 Kriminellen geflutet, vor allem aus dem Kosovo und Albanien seit 1991!

Die haben dort Land besetzt, illegal gebaut, illegal Wasserleitungen angezapft und die Haupt Leitungen zerstört und dann natürlich ihre privaten Strom Leitungen gelegt.

Das genau ist und war das grösste Problem dieses Landes, die illegalen Besetzungen aus dem Ausland, der Albanischen Mafia.

PRIŠTINA -- UNMIK officials stated that Kosovo Serb communities owe the Kosovo power corporation KEK) about EUR 87mn.UNMIK spokesperson Alexander Ivanko said that while 35-40 percent of electricity used has been paid for in all of Kosovo, zero percent has been paid by the Serbian enclaves.

There are ongoing energy restrictions in Kosovo currently.

Group A, citizens who regularly pay their bills, will have electricity all day while Group B will be without power for two hours after every four hours with electricity, while Group C receives the electricity that is left.

Several Serbian reporters mentioned during the press conference that there were restriction in Serbian communities during June.

UNMIK EU Pillar spokesperson Angela Griep said that because of problems within KEK, there were restrictions imposed throughout Kosovo.
