Kanal 5: Albania, Kosovo Presidents envisage establishment of mini Schengen zone

Pristina. The Presidents of Albania and Kosovo Bamir Topi and Fatmir Sejdiu discussed the establishment of a Schengen zone between Albania and Kosovo first and then its ensuing enlargement into a mini Schengen zone that would include Macedonia and Montenegro, the Macedonian Kanal 5 television announced.
The two presidents say this will put the free and quick movement of goods, capital and people at first place.
Kosovo’s Prime Minister Hashim Thaci and President Fatmir Sejdiu and the Albanian President agreed maximum opening of the Albanian-Kosovan border to ensure the free movement of people and capital. Albania and Kosovo will sign a series of agreements, which according to Sejdiu will be a good example for Macedonia and Montenegro, as well as for the region.
Bamir Topi paid a two-day visit to Pristina.
