Tirana, ALBANIA: Serbian cooks present 23 August 2005 their grilled meat specialities in Tirana. It seems that slowly and step-by-step, once unimaginable friendship between the Serbs and Albanians could progress from years-old hostility. For several weeks in the central square of the Albanian capital Tirana, a seductive smell of meat has been attracting numerous Albanians despite the summer heat, calling them to discover the cuisine of their "hereditary enemy". The action, organized as a part of a cultural exchange between the two countries, comes after years of strained relations, often marred with open hostility.
