Gruevski to meet Greek counterpart Papademos in Brussels
Brussels, 1 March 2012 (MIA) - Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski is set to meet Greek counterpart Lucas Papademos at the sidelines of the EU Summit in Brussels on Thursday.
Over a month ago, PM Gruevski launched an initiative to the Greek Premier for holding a meeting and resuming the dialogue following a long hiatus. Papademos accepted the initiative and suggested the meeting to be held in Brussels.
This will be the first meeting between Gruevski and Papdemos following the series of meetings of the Macedonian PM with former Greek colleague George Papandreou, the last of which held in March of last year.
PM Gruevski takes part today at the meeting of European People's Party leaders. The meeting, usually held prior to every EU Summit, brings together German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French PM Francois Fillon, Spanish PM Mariano Rajoy, Swedish PM Fredrik Reinfeldt, Hungarian PM Viktor Orban, Slovenian PM Janez Jansa, as well as numerous leaders of centre-right parties, including former Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi, Greece's New Democracy leader Antonis Samaras etc.
