As many as 32,000 to 33,000 workers of 29 companies are currently protesting across Serbia, the Alliance of Independent Unions said.
According to the same source, 8,300 of them are protesting because of overdue salaries and 5,000 over unpaid redundancy pays.
The strikes have been also prompted by unpaid health and pension insurance fees and other violations of the collective agreements or privatization contracts.
The Unions pointed out that all economic sectors are affected by the strikes.
