The Vrbas River



The Vrbas (Cyrillic: Врбас) is a major river in Republic of Srpska.

It is a right tributary of the river Sava. The Capital of Republic of Srpska, Banja Luka is located on the river banks. It lent its name to one of the provinces (banovinas) of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the Vrbas Banovina.

The Trebisnjica River



Trebišnjica River is a River in Republic of Srpska. It is a sinking river, 98 km long above the ground. With a total length of 187 km above and under the ground, it is one of the longest sinking rivers in the world.

 
The Church of Christ Saviour, Banja Luka



The former Serbian Orthodox Church of Holy Trinity, now the Church of Christ Saviour, was being built from 1925 to 1929 and dedicated in 1939. The Church was destroyed by Ustashas (in Second World War) in 1941. The restauration began in 1995 and finished in 2005.

Mount Ozren



Ozren mountain is a mountain in the Republika Srpska and partly in the Federation entity. Ozren Mountain is rich in natural resources. It abounds in drinkable water springs surrounded by clean nature, thermal wells with healing effects, ore and mineral resources.

 
The Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge in Višegrad



The Mehmed Paša Sokolović Bridge in Višegrad, across the Drina in Republic of Srpska, was completed in 1577 AD by the Ottoman court architect Sinan on the order of the Grand Vizier Mehmed Paša Sokolović. It is characteristic of the apogee of Ottoman monumental architecture and civil engineering.

The bridge is now widely known because of the book The Bridge on the Drina written by the serbian Ivo Andrić, Nobel prize winning author. It is also in the List of the UNESCO World-Heritage.

Prijedor



Prijedor (Serbian Cyrillic: Приједор) is a town and municipality in the northern parts of the Republika Srpska. Prijedor is with 120'000 Habitants the third largest municipality in the Republika Srpska entity.
