Fischen auf der Drina zwischen Republika Srpska & Serbia

drina is one of the greatest rivers in Republika Srpska. it forms the boder with serbia and BiH in some places also. some people tell that the word drina had been derived from the word "derin" which means "deep" in turkish. also the famous bridge that ivo andric tells about is also on this river. the part seen in this photo is far from the bridge, you need an hour drive to be able to see it. i took this photo from a hill somewhere in zepa valley, to be able to reach there you need around one and half hour offroad drive. the nature is fantastic all over area. if you have the opportunity to travel have a guide, preferably somebody from that part of the country because there are no traffic and road signs, you may get lost easily. also when walking never leave the road, there may be mines.

this is typical scene from east RS. here is han pıjesak. as usual there are lots of old forests and when the forest density is less you may see fields and agricultural fields. this is one of the fields used for agriculture.
