Greek Citizens Moving to Macedonia's South
More and more Greek pensioners have moved to Gevgelija because it is easier for them to live with their retirement savings in Macedonia. Greek citizens show great interest in purchase of apartments and lots in Gevgelija.
They have already built two buildings for collective housing and the price ranges from EUR 600 to EUR 1,000 per square metre.
Some Greek pensioners moved to Gevgelija because they think Gevgelija is a portal to Europe. Gevgelija’s economy is growing fast, as the rest of Macedonia. Moreover, many Greeks have also moved to live in Bitola, too. They also travel there because of cheaper petrol and dental services.
