Eins für jede Insel. Die Ägäis wird zur Killzone. Tουrkakia heulen schon seit Tagen deswegen.

Greek parliament approves purchase of 36 Israeli PULS rocket systems

“In a closed session, the parliament’s defence committee approved the purchase of PULS,” a senior official with knowledge of the issue told Reuters. A second official confirmed the approval and said the cost would be “around 650 to 700 million euros.”

Reuters previously reported that Greece had been in talks with Israel over the systems, which are made by Elbit and have a range of up to 300 kilometres. Officials said the acquisition will help protect Greece’s northeastern border with Turkey and islands in the Aegean, while the deal also includes the construction of components in Greece.

Greece and Israel have strengthened economic and diplomatic ties in recent years, conducting several joint exercises and operating an air training centre in southern Greece. Greece is also discussing with Israel the development of a 3 billion euro anti aircraft and missile defence dome.

THEON signs the largest contract ever for 100,000 NVGs with OCCAR, valued at c.€1 billion

  • Contract Revision for a firm order of 100,000 NVGs for the German
    Bundeswehr
  • Plus partial exercise of existing OCCAR option by the Belgian Armed Forces
    for 4,000 NVGs
  • Immediate c.€1 bn increase to backlog, providing significant visibility until
    2029
  • Total backlog, including options, now c.€2.4 bn more than 2x vs Year End 2024
Christian Hadjiminas, Founder and CEO of THEON, stated: “This Contract Revision represents the largest single procurement of NVGs in the history of a European NATO member, if not the largest ever placed globally. The anticipated acceleration in order intake has already translated into long-term framework agreements announced in recent weeks. In anticipation of this, that is why we moved early to secure the image intensifier tube (IIT) supply chain through investing in Harder Digital and Exosens, in a market where global supply remains structurally below demand. We see accelerating demand as customers seek to equip increasing numbers of soldiers with night-vision capabilities and weapon-mounted systems. On top of the already announced orders in Europe, recent newsflow about APAC defense-spending increases confirms our outlook. Notably, order intake this year currently stands at more than 3x expected 2025 revenue, versus our guidance of c. 2x, rising to over 4x if including the attached new options. Once the announced Share Capital Increase concludes and regulatory constraints are lifted, we will be in a position to provide EBIT guidance for 2025 and 2026.”

Greece Deploys Advanced SPIKE NLOS Missiles in Aegean Islands and Evros Border

The Hellenic Army has operationalized the advanced SPIKE NLOS anti-tank missile systems in the Eastern Aegean Islands and Evros border region, integrating them with sensors and C4I networks for precision strikes up to 32 km. This deployment enhances Greece's preemptive deterrence against amphibious and mechanized threats, turning strategic areas into fortified nodes.

In the Eastern Aegean Islands: The missiles provide early targeting and high-precision engagement against potential amphibious threats, transforming island defenses into robust anti-access/area denial (A2/AD) zones.

In the Evros Region: Deployed along the land border, they enable long-range suppression of mechanized forces up to 32 km, with capabilities for strikes beyond line-of-sight.

Key features include "Fire-Observe-Update" functionality, allowing operators to engage targets hidden behind obstacles or redirect missiles mid-flight for maximum accuracy. Networked operations turn small units into powerful force multipliers through integrated real-time ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) and coordinated strikes.

This deployment grants Greece a true preemptive, precision-strike capability, fortifying islands and border areas into interconnected nodes of deterrence.
