Asus updates Lamborghini laptop line with VX7 notebook - Notebookcheck.net News

Asus’s premium laptop receives a Sandy Bridge processor and NVIDIA GTX 460 graphics to go along with its Lamborghini design

Everybody loves supercars and their speed, but there’s no denying that part of their allure is in the astronomical price tag. Thankfully, supercar fanatics that can’t get their hands on the real deal can make do with premium laptops manufactured in conjunction with Italian speed. For Ferrari fans Acer’s Ferrari One notebook provides one solution and Lamborghini fans can make do with
Asus’s VX line of notebooks.

Of course, supercars are known for being the best of the best and their corresponding notebooks have to keep up as well. Asus appears to be taking care of the notebook side of business, by updating their Lamborghini line with the latest VX7 notebook. The 7th notebook in the Lamborghini product line is modeled after the Italian design of the Lamborghini Gallardo and also the Murceilago LP640. The design includes leather-trim palm rests, a backlit Chiclet full keyboard, taillights on the back, an engine start power button, and even a Lamborghini engine roar upon startup.

As for the inner hardware in charge of keeping the laptop racing, the VX7 will offer a Sandy Bridge Core i7 2630 processor, up to 16GB of RAM, and a 15.6” screen with a Full HD resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. The notebook also packs an NVIDIA GeForce GTX460QM graphics card with 3GB of VRAM and up to a 750GB HDD. Otherwise, the laptop comes with USB 3.0 and 2.0, VGA, HDMI, an optional Blu-Ray drive and an 8-Cell battery

For those that appreciate Italian car beauty, then the VX7 is definitely an appealing choice with its Classic Lambo Orange and Black Carbonfibre paintjobs. However, even those that are just looking for a beast of a machine, then the VX7 should be up to the task. For interested parties with $2,269 to spare, the VX7 is currently up for pre-order from certain sites online. As for others that would rather admire the laptop from a distance,
then the following pictures might help out.
