Macedonian wine promoted in Novi Sad
Skopje, 6 July 2012 (MIA) - Seven Macedonian wineries, organised through the association "Wines of Macedonia" and supported by the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion, will present their wines at InterFest Wine Festival, which is being held on July 5-7 in Novi Sad.
The Novi Sad manifestation is the biggest wine festival in Southeastern Europe and each year it is attended by somewhere between 30 and 50 thousand visitors. Wineries from the region as well as Portugal, Spain and Hungary present their products.
A delegation of the Macedonian embassy in Serbia and representatives of the Agency for Foreign Investments and Export Promotion attended yesterday's formal opening of the festival. With their support, a promotional event dubbed "Day of Macedonian Wine in Novi Sad" will be held on Saturday.
Macedonian wineries in Novi Sad have the chance to establish contacts with renowned distributors and wine exporters in an attempt to boost export and to better promote Macedonia's wine in Serbia.
Tikves, Skovin, Stobi, Kamnik, Dalvina, Ezimit and Popov wineries are presenting their products at the festival, "Wines of Macedonia" said in a press release.
