Village Sarcievo prepared for Guinness Record beans
Stip, 7 August 2012 (MIA) - The Guinness World Record in cooked beans will be toppled in Stip village Sarcievo on Tuesday.
Organizer Stojan Davcev says 5,5 tonnes of beans will be cooked in a giant pot by nine cooks.
Chief cook Ljupco Gievski said the ingredients will be put in the pot around noon, along with 3,800-4,000 liters of water.
"There will be 1,300 kg of beans, 120kg of onions, 140l of cooking oil, 24kg of salt, 14kg of mixed spices, 6kg of pepper, 9kg of red pepper, 50kg of flour, 1kg of bay leaf, 35 bunches of parsley", stressed Gievski.
The judges should declare the Guinness World Record in cooked beans later in the day.
