The development of a vaccine against coronavirus is possible by October, according to Albert Bourlas, head of the pharmaceutical giant Pfizer.
In an interview with Kathimerini, he said the company he manages has a budget of 2 billion euros for the research that will lead to the discovery of the vaccine and the creation of antiviral drugs.
Bourlas, a Greek who has lived in New York for the past few years and talks regularly with US President Donald Trump over the health crisis, grew up in Thessaloniki, went to a public school, graduated from the AUTh Veterinary School and became one of the world's most important managers.
But he still retains the characteristic twang of his native northern Greece and always visits his homeland and the resort of Halkidiki in the summer.

A Greek Army team will head to the United States to select 350 Bradley IFVs (Armoured Infantry Fighting Vehicles) from the U.S. Army surplus stocks, according to Military Leaks.
The armoured vehicles will replace the army’s old M113s, while at the same time Greece is procuring 1,200 M1117 vehicles based on the Cadillac Gage V-100 and V-150 Commandos.
The Bradley M2A2s will bring much-desired support to the fleet of Leopard 2HEL main battle tanks.
The M2A2 Bradley was introduced in late 1980s and is an improved version of the standard vehicle Bradley M2A1. Additional armour plating has been added to the front and the side of the hull.
The M2A2 Bradley has the exact same armament as the previous version (Bradley M2A1) and is armed with an ATK Gun Systems Company M242 25 mm Bushmaster Chain Gun with a 7.62 mm M240C machine gun mounted co-axially to the right of the main armament.
The Bradley is manufactured by BAE Systems Land & Armaments, formerly United Defence. It was named after U.S. General Omar Bradley and is designed to transport infantry or scouts with armour protection, while providing cover fire to suppress enemy troops and armoured vehicles.
Bradley variants include the M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle and the M3 Bradley cavalry fighting vehicle.
The M2 holds a crew of three (a commander, a gunner, and a driver) along with six fully equipped soldiers.

Auch Griechen und Türken mögen sich untereinander. Zumindest haben die meisten kein Problem mit der Gegenseite. Siehe zb. Nikos und Missy.....
Die Battles hier zwischen den beiden Lagern, sollte man nicht als Standart der zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen der beiden Ethnien untereinander nehmen. Das Problem zwischen GR und TR ist immer die Politik. Die eine Seite ist eher pazifistisch ( meiner Meinung nach etwas zu pazifistisch) veranlagt und versucht alles durch Diplomatie zu lösen, während die andere Seite politisch das komplette Gegenteil ist, sprich sie agiert sehr aggressiv (meiner Meinung nach zu aggressiv) gegenüber allen seinen Nachbarn und versucht das Recht des stärkeren durchzusetzen. Das dies momentan stark in die Hose geht und der Pazifist mit seiner Diplomatie momentan viele Lager auf seine Seite zieht, sieht man an den ganzen AWZs die dort geschlossen werden....
