Was meinst du mit Westbulgarien?

Makedonien

Processed vegetables industry now has a web portal
Skopje, 28 February 2012 (MIA) - To help agribusiness companies increase their competitiveness and sales, the Macedonian Association of Processors (MAP) has developed an interactive web portal, www.map.org.mk, for participants of the processed vegetables value chain, with support from the USAID AgBiz Program.

The portal offers easy access to market information, joint presentation and bidding, which will improve competitiveness and open new market opportunities, USAID said in a press release.

"The idea emerged from the need for more efficient communication, cooperation and visibility of Macedonian vegetable processing companies," said USAID Economic Growth Office Director, Joseph Lessard. "The portal will foster horizontal and vertical linkages within the industry and help companies develop new sales opportunities."

The web portal incorporates a brokerage tool, enabling participants of the processed vegetable value chain to place their quantities for sale individually and jointly, exchange products on offer or demand, and automatically receive external enquiries for trade.

The portal will help companies keep up with the latest industry trends and global networking, building on the strong relationships already established by the Macedonian vegetable processing companies and MAP with partner organizations and individual companies from the region and EU.

New flight route to Slovenia
28th February 2012
New flight route to Slovenia | News | Wanderlust
As of late March, Adria Airways will be offering regular flights between Slovenia's capital and London Luton

Adria Airways, Slovenia's national airline, is to launch a new flight route between London Luton and Ljubljana.

Tine Murn from the Slovenia Tourist Board commented on the new flight route: "We believe that Adria Airways could be a fresh boost for Slovenian tourism from the UK. We have noticed that there is a big interest for Slovenia among Brits and it has traditionally been a very popular destination for the British traveller, but the lack of flight connections in recent years meant that it has proved difficult to come to Slovenia from the UK."

"With flights and tourism booms, we are in a chicken and egg situation, as one brings the other one; so we hope that we will break this circle now and will bring many more tourists from the UK to the our beautiful country of Slovenia," he added.

The new route will offer travellers convenient onward connections to more than 15 European cities and destinations in the Balkans. Pristina in Kosovo, Tirana in Albania and Skopje in the Republic of Macedonia are among the new links.

The Luton-Ljubljana Jože Pučnik route will be launched on 25 March and will run four times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Luton Airport’s managing director, Glyn Jones, said the new service would provide travellers with easy access to new 'exciting' destinations.
