Djeravica Lake (Dinaric Alp / Southern Serbia)

Đeravica Lake is a mountain lake located just under the summit of Đeravica. The lake is about 2,200 metres (7,200 ft) above sea level. It is shaped like a tooth and is the origin of the Erenik river which flows down to the Metohija region of southern Serbia. The maximum length of this lake is 240m and the width is 120m. The lake is known for is its many salamanders, which feast on flying insects.
