Mountain Zlatibor view

There are some legends about the origin of today's name Zlatibor :
"By the first one Zlatibor is supposed to get its name by white pine trees with yellow conifer (the colour of old gold), which used to cover the rolling slopes of Zlatibor. There has only one such tree remained (in the village of Negbina) and it was given the scientific name Pinus silvestris variegata Zlatiborica, by eng. Omanovic, who studied those conifer trees.
In the second it is said that Zlatibor got its name because it was so rich with pine tree forests, that the immigrants from Monte Negro and Hercegovina boasted: "It is really a pine tree made of gold!"
The third legend says that it got its name by the mountain pastures, that get a yellow, a golden colour in autumn.
Zlatibor is located in the northern part of the Stari Vlah region, a historical border region between Raška, Herzegovina and Bosnia. The hill called Cigla near the village of Jablanica still has some borderline markings of the Kingdom of Serbia, Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire. The name Zlatibor started to be used in the 18th century, but its etymology is uncertain. It probably stems from the Serbian words zlatni (golden) and bor (pine) — a particular type of a pine originates from the mountain, whose Latin name is Pinus silvestris variegata zlatiborica, and today is endangered.
Situated at an altitude of just over 1,000 meters, Zlatibor is a climatic resort, characterised by a cool mountain climate, clean air, long periods of sunshine during the summer and a heavy snow cover in winter. Tourist facilities include modern hotels, holiday centers and cottages, sports grounds and skiing.

Fluss Vrelo (Western Serbia)

In the area of Mt.Tara there are a number of springs and lost rivers. The most important cast springs are at Perucac and Ladjevac. The Perucac spring is a place where Vrelo, the shortest river in Serbia starts. It is also called a Year river because it is 365 m long. The Ladjevac spring has its headwaters in the Canyon of Raca not so far from the Raca Monastery and it is famous for its thermal, mineral and healing powers.

quiet street

Quiet street Milentija Popovica, in center of Nish, middle of cold March day (2006). Family houses date from 1920-1940 period. This street is especially pleasant in May/June because of lines trees of linden which form nice shade and have that interesting smell.
Street itself belongs to old city quarter called "Secer mala" - the "sugar quarter", and I really don't know where the name comes from :) it was settled with rich traders and merchants, many of them ethnic Germans.

RP: I added a lot more contrast, managed the light, so I guess now, photo looks deeper, and colors more attractive. Also, branches on the trees should be more curvy now, due to increased sharpness. Didn't want to remove that yellowish feel on the photo, to keep it warm.
I guess this is how this photo should look like, from the start. :)
