Gladbach and Bayern were the two most successful West German clubs (and therefore the biggest rivals) in the 70's. Kleff & Netzer v Beckenbauer, Meier, Müller & Breitner...
I'm ashamed to say that my dad's sympathies for Bayern still stem form those days, when the north favoured Gladbach and the south Munich...
