Now that the Via Dinarica trail will finally be completed this year, fully connecting over 1,200 miles of trekking trails across seven countries — Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Kosova, Serbia, and Slovenia — the western Balkan region is ripe for an outdoor adventure. Sutjeska National Park in Bosnia is often referred to as the Yosemite of the Balkans, and it’s a must-see if you’re making your way along the Via Dinarica trail.
