Serbian Orthodox Church in Brcko (Брчко)

The Sutjeska Nationalpark - Национални парк Сутјеска

Sutjeska National Park is Republic Srpska's oldest national park. It is famous as the site of the Partisan victory over the German occupying forces in a World War II battle and there exist several stone monuments commemorating the event. The park is about 175 square kilometres of in size.

The park is home to one of the last two remaining primeval forests in Europe, called Perućica. Beech trees tower over 60 metres high and endemic black pines stem from the rocky faces that protect the ancient forest. Skakavac waterfall can be seen from the look-out point – this seventy five meter plus waterfall is dwarfed by the massive blanket of green trees that cover the valley.

Monastery Tvrdoš - Манастир Тврдош

Tvrdoš (Serbian Cyrillic: Тврдош) is a Serb Orthodox monastery near the city of Trebinje, Republika Srpska. The 4th-century foundations of the first Roman church on the site are still visible today. The Orthodox monastery was established there in the 15th century, with a cathedral constructed about 1508 and painted with murals by Vicko Lavrov from Dubrovnik in 1517.

Streetscene in Zvornik - Зворник

Zvornik (Serbian Cyrillic: Зворник) is a city on the Drina river in northern Republic of Srpska, located south of the town of Bijeljina. The town Mali Zvornik ("little Zvornik") lies directly across the river in Serbia, and not far north is Loznica.

Zvornik is first mentioned in the year 1410, although it was known as Zvonik ("bell tower" in Serbian) at that time. The town's geographic location has made it an important trade link between Serbia and the east. For instance, the main road connecting Sarajevo and Belgrade runs through the city.
