Concert, album on Tose Proeski's 30th birthday
Skopje, 25 January 2011 (MIA) - A concert titled "With Love for Tose", including performances by numerous Macedonian and Balkan musicians, will be held on occasion of late Tose Proeski's 30th birthday in "Boris Trajkovski" sports arena on Tuesday evening.
"The concept for this concert is a bit different from the previous two, since the fans are the ones who provided the ideas. They wanted to listen to Tose's songs, see his smiling face on the screen and sing the tunes alongside the musicians on stage all night long", said foundation "Tose Proeski".
"With Love for Tose" is also the title of the CD to be released today. The third posthumous album contains 15 songs, 12 of which from the world rock-anthology performed by Tose at his concerts, along with two famous hit-songs, whereas the final one hits the air for the first time.
The concert is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture.
In light of Tose's 30th birthday, the commemorative home based in his hometown Krusevo has been completed, with the opening to be held after all items belonging to Proeski are placed there. The large museum collection will focus on the life and work of the late music star.
On Monday, President Gjorge Ivanov posthumously decorated Tose Proeski with an Order of Merits for Macedonia for outstanding achievements in the music field and promotion of Macedonian cultural values, as well as his charity work.
