Gjorgji Hristov named Metalurg manager

After the recent resignation by the Shkendija manager Qatip Osmani, another surprising move occurred today when Metalirg announced that they have parted ways with Zikica Tasevski. Reports are emerging that the reasons for the dismissal were being eliminated from the Macedonian Cup by Rabotnicki and drawing in the last game against Bregalnica in Stip.

Metalurg has been solid this season as they are in second place with 21 points, trailing Vardar by only two points. They have yet to lose a game in league play as they have six wins and three draws after nine rounds in the Macedonian top division. However, that was not enough to save Tasevski.

Both sides noted today that they went their separate ways in a friendly manner. Metalurg thanked Zikica Tasevski for his work and wished him success in the future.

Metalurg then named the replacement for Tasevski in former Macedonian international Gjorgji Hristov. Hristov is only 35 years and before being named manager today, he was the coordinator for the youth system of Metalurg. Hristov is also the second leading scorer for the Macedonian national team with 16 goals, trailing only Goran Pandev who has 24 goals.

The youth system of Metalurg has been very successful under Hristov and the Metalurg president Aleksandar Panov hopes that the appointment of Hristov will inject some youth into the first team of Metalurg. One of the criticisms of Zikica Tasevski was that he usually fielded older players and refused to play younger players because of a lack of confidence. Metalurg is one of the oldest teams in the Macedonian top division, despite having a very good youth system.

Cadikovski left Olimpija Ljubljana

Dragan Cadikovski left Olimpija Ljubljana today after both sides agreed to mutually terminate the contract.




As the official website of Olimpija Ljubljana reports, Cadikovski was not happy with his status on the team and both sides agreed that it was best to mutually terminate the contract. Cadikovski was livid at being substituted in the 40th minute of the last game and the manager of the Slovenian club has been disappointed with his recent form. So, before the problem escalated, both sides agreed to go their separate ways and Cadikovski is no longer an Olimpija Ljubljana player.

The website reported that Cadikovski has received offers from South Korea, where he has played before, so he might continue his career in that country. Cadikovski just signed with Olimpija Ljubljana earlier in the summer but his brief stint ended today after his contract was mutually terminated.

Cadikovski was actually born in Serbia but decided to represent Macedonia internationally. He was formerly capped by the senior national team but has not been called up in the past couple of years. Some of his former teams include Zenit and Partizan.

Macedonia scheduled a friendly with Albania

MacedoniaThe Football Federations of Macedonia and Albania agreed to arrange a friendly match between the two senior national teams in November.

The Albanian national team will visit Macedonia for a friendly match in November. Both Federations agreed to a match which was scheduled for the 15th of November at 13.00 CET. Manager John Toshack will use the friendly match to test some younger players as he looks ahead to building the right team for the 2014 World Cup qualifications.

The match will be played at the Goce Delcev Stadium in Prilep.

To date, Macedonia and Albania have played seven friendly matches with Macedonia winning 4, drawing 2, and losing 1 against Albania. The most recent friendly took place on the 17th of November last year in Albania when the match ended in a goalless draw.

Every player is now present after Velice Sumulikoski was the last player to arrive in Macedonia earlier today. Sumulikoski played all 90 minutes for Sibir yesterday in a league game so that is the reason for his late arrival. As for the match against the U21 team, Ivan Trickovski did not play as John Toshack decided to rest him because of a busy club schedule with APOEL.

Since Boban Babunski is the manager of the U21 team and the top assistant on the senior national team, John Toshack felt it was a good idea for the players to train together and also scheduled a match. The U21 team held the senior national team to goalless 0:0 draw. Toshack used the game to closely watch the potential candidates on the U21 team with the view of constructing the best team for the 2014 World Cup qualifications.

Both the U21 team and the senior national team are in action on Friday. Macedonia U21 will take on their counterparts from Serbia in the opening game of the 2013 Under-21 qualifiers while the senior national team travels to Yerevan to take on Armenia. The U21 team plays at 15:00 CET while the senior national team follows at 17:00 CET. Both games will be televised on MTV.

Ignjovski getting ready to face Macedonia U21

Aleksandar Ignjovski; photo: werder.deAleksandar Ignjovski admitted that it will be strange to face Macedonia as he will have relatives at the game and he is indeed Macedonian by origin.

Aleksandar Ignjovski conducted an interview with Serbian newspaper "Novosti" where he admitted that it will be strange to face Macedonia. Ignjovski is one of the better players on the Serbian U21 national team as they get ready to face their counterparts from Macedonia on Friday at the Boris Trajkovski stadium in Skopje.

Speaking about the game, Ignjovski told the newspaper, "It will not be the same as I will have many relatives at the game and again, I'm Macedonian by origin. But, as always, I will do my best to make sure Serbia comes out on top."

The most interesting point in the article was that Ignjovski stated that he was invited to play for the senior national team of Macedonia when he was only 17 years old. He was playing for OFK Beograd at that time but he was born in Serbia so he decided to represent their country.

However, he can still change national teams and Macedonia will likely continue pursuing him since there is a big void in midfield. Ignjovski is a versatile player and has the ability to play defensive midfield, left-back, and right-back. If he continues to be ignored by the senior national team of Serbia, then maybe Ignjovski will accept the call up by Macedonia. Ignjovski transferred to German club Werder Bremen earlier in the summer and has recently become a regular for the club.

Turkey offers money Macedonian Football Team if they won the game against Armenian team

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered to donate money to Macedonian Football National Team in case they win Armenian Football National team during the match which will take place tomorrow.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan made this offer during his official visit to Macedonia on the end of September, sovetunion.ru web-site informs.
Source from the Macedonian Parliament informed about this. According to the source Erdogan made this offer during the private meeting with Chairman of Macedonian Parliament Trayko Vilyanoyski.

Experts suppose that Erdogan’s such interest in Armenian failure is explained with the fear that Turkish Football National Team may have to play against Armenian Football National Team which has significant success recently and started to play much better.

As all we know, tomorrow, on October 7, Armenian and Macedonian teams will meet in Yerevan in the frame of Qualifying games Euro 2012. Armenian team has real opportunity to win this game and pass to the Euro 2012 final round and Macedonian team has no chances so does not have any motivation to play well. Turkish team is also considered to have chance to pass the final round of Euro 2012.

Македонката која го "покори" светот


Наташа Илиевска оствари огромен успех, прв во историјата на нашето карате.

Со среброто во Загреб, бронзата во Кина, златото од Цирих и последната бронза во Истанбул која и донесе бодови за прво место на светска ранг листа во нејзина категорија, Илиевска застана во првиот ред Македонци за почит.

Освои златен медал кој е од најтешка вредносна категорија и бронза која и го гарантира првото место на Светската ранг листа
-На турнирот од Премиер лигата јас успеав да го освојам бронзениот медал, а со тоа да ги освојам и новите поени кои што полека но сигурно ми ја гарантираат првата позиција на Светската ранг листа. Ова првенство е високо рангирано од светската карате федерација и доаѓаат земји ширум светот. Јас во мојата категорија се сретнав со своите најголеми фаворитки и особено драга победа во ова натпреварување ми беше победата над Бразилката, која е на втората ранг позиција. Таа е единствената девојка која би можела да ме загрози за да не ја задржам оваа позиција. Се надевам дека ова лошо сценарио нема да се случи. Инаку мене ми останува уште еден турнир од Премиер лигата кое ќе се одржи во месец Ноември во Австрија и доколку успеам да освојам медал или пласман, со сигурност ќе ја задржам првата позиција на ранг листата за 2011 година во мојата категорија.

Го освои златото и се качи на пиедесталот од каде целиот свет ја слушна македонската химна

-2011 година е врв на мојата кариера, бидејќи успеав да го остварам својот животен сон, да се качам на пиедесталот, да ми се свири македонската химна... Остварувањето на европското злато е моето најголемо достигнување, меѓутоа и оваа прва позиција на Светската ранг листа претставува еден мотив плус да продолжам со уште позасилено темпо, за да ја задржам оваа позиција во оваа година. Но имам и уште еден неостварен сон. Идната година ќе се одржи светското првенство кое се одржува на две години, а во мојот плакар ми преостанува и уште еден медал од светско првенство. Се надевам дека и во иднина ќе ги остварам моите соништа.

Оваа амбициозна каратистка има вкупно 114 медали, но бронзата од 1996 година ја поттикна длабоко да навлезе во спортот
-Вкупно имам 114 медали, нормално најдраг ми е европското злато, тоа беше 113-тиот медал. Многу драг ми е и 100-тиот медал, јас некако си ги памтам и по редослед, тое е бронзениот медал кој го освоив минатата година во Кина. Тогаш добив ексклузивно право за прв пат во македонското карате да настапувам на први светски игри кои се одржаа во Пекинг. Имам навистина многу драги медали кои ќе ги паметам за цел живот. Освојувањето на бронзениот медал во 1996 година на Светското првенство за кадети и јуниори е можеби мој најдраг медал за тогаш, бидејќи тој е моја отскочна даска и направи јас длабоко да навлезам во карате спортот. Од тогаш знаев дека уште многу долги години ќе бидам во овој спорт.

Илиевска се закити со многу признанија, а со добивање на спортската пензија стана најмладата пензионерка во Македонија

-Овие неколку години добив толку многу признанија, што морам да признам дека ми претставуваат огромна чест и задоволство. Веднаш по освојувањето на сребрениот медал во 2009 година кога станав европска вицешампионка, добив признание од Агенцијата за млади и спорт, како спортистка од светска категорија и се здобив со 4 годишна стипендија. Оваа година ја потпишав и пензијата, како најмлада пензионерка. 2009 година станав и спортистка на Македонија, 2010 исто така го добив ова признание, добив признание и од Град Скопје и од родниот град Кратово, од матичниот клуб „Макпетрол“, од карате федерацијата, добив навистина многу признанија кои за мене се мотивација повеќе да продолжам во иднина со уште позасилено темпо за да ги оправдам сите овие признанија од цела Македонија.

Каратето во Македонија оди по нагорна линија, заинтересираноста кај младите генерации е се поголема за овој спорт

-Слободно можам да кажам дека особено во последниве години каратето во Македонија се развива во една нагорна линија, што навистина ми е особено многу драго. Бидејќи сум и помошник тренер во мојот матичен клуб забележувам дека е се поголем интересот кај младите генерации. Постојано доаѓаат и се запишуваат многу нови каратисти, навистина каратето е во една нагорна линија. Што се однесува до сениорскиот дел, јас верувам дека во иднина ќе носат многу резултати. Веќе 5 години во континуитет сениорската карате репрезентација носи успеси за Македонија. Меѓутоа и кадетско јуниорската репрезентација, само минатата година донесе 6 врвни резултати од Европското првенство. Карате репрезентацијата, како во помладите така и во постарите категории носи успеси во Македонија.

Наташа напорно вежба, станува и легнува со каратето, а токму тоа е клучот на нејзиниот успех

-За да се биде професионален и врвен спортист треба напорно вежбање, жртвување од некои нормални работи, меѓутоа тоа мене воопшто не ми пречи. Јас особено последниве 3 години навистина се однесувам максимално професионално, секојдневно тренирам по двапати во текот на денот, воглавно секојдневно сум во оваа сала. Станувами легнувам со карате спортот, преокупирана сум со каратето и мислам дека токму тоа е она што вродува со плод и успех.

Со посебниот начин на исхрана Илиевска, успева да ја одржи својата линија и добра кондиција

-Исхраната мора да биде посебна кога станува збор за еден врвен спортист, а особено кога се бориме во тежински категории мораме да внимаваме на оваа исхрана, се со цел да не ја надминеме таа тежинска категорија. Јас внимавам на исхраната, се трудам да јадам поздрава храна, да внесувам јаглехидрати и протеини.



Наташа е заштитно лица на Калифорнија фитнес, но и заштитен знак на Македонија. Благодарение на нејзиниот тренер Бошко Заборски и нејзиниот матичен клуб „Макпетрол “, Илиевска остварува успеси кои дополнително ја будат националната гордост. Ја направи Македонија горда, а и Македонците се горди на оваа успешна каратистка.
