Skopje. One man was injured during the overnight exchange of gunfire in the Kozle residential quarter in Skopje, Macedonian online news edition Kurir informs.
According to eyewitnesses, the shooting lasted for around two minutes.
The Interior Ministry announced that the incident occurred as result of a quarrel between 71-year-old M.G. and his 30 years younger ex-wife T.G., on the one hand, and 63-year-old S.J., on the other. During the quarrel S.J. took out a gun and shot at M.G.’s left leg. The injured man was hospitalised.

Во пукањето што се случи синоќа околу 21.45 часот во скопската населба Козле е повреден 71-годишен скопјанец.


Според МВР, На улица „Козле 2А“ во Скопје почнала расправија за нерасчистени имотно-правни односи меѓу седумдесет и едногодишниот М.Г. и неговата поранешна четириесет и петгодишна сопруга Т.Г. од една страна и шеесет и тригодишниот С.Ј. од друга страна.


С.Ј. извадил пиштол и почнал да пука при што го ранил М.Г. во левата надколеница. Повредениот е пренесен во Ургентен центар.

The police raid in Kocani on April 1st has since expanded to numerous cities througout the country. So far 24 individuals have been arrested, including the head of the Kocani police Vanco Todorovski.

Information has leaked that Kocani's entire police force may be fired due to their involvement, turning a blind eye and in some instances direct help in commiting criminal activities.
Over 1,000 poker machines worth between 5 and 8 million euros have been confiscated. None of the gambling venues which housed these poker machines had a license to operate a casino. This brings the question, how could anyone smuggle 1,000 poker machines? The answer is simple, corruption!

The mafia had insiders working for the Macedonian customs and border patrol agency. It is only in this way customs officials would turn a blind eye to truck loads of poker machines entering the country. Certainly, the officials were well compensated for this. When where this machines brought in? We can only speculate, however it is safe to say these machines started to trickle into the country in the early 1990's.

The writer of this article had a neighbor who had three poker machines in his garage, and this was back in 1994.

The origin of these poker machines? Bulgaria.
95% of all poker machines arrived from Bulgaria. The Bulgarian mafia buys the machines from Singapore, according to UJP officials.
Although one would believe customs officials are not as corrupt as they used to be, an interesting incident occurred during an exercise of special police unit at Skopje's International Airport. As large number of armed police had approached the airport to go through the exercise of saving a hijacked plane, employees from the Customs area ran for their lives thinking the police was there for them. This is indeed troublesome, why would Customs employees run when seeing policemen... people who haven't done anything wrong tend not to run!

Meanwhile 'Detonator' continues. Local mafia bosses are detained, their illegal equipment confiscated in cities as far away as Debar.

ПРИШТИНА – Према званичним информацијама, које су „Правди“ потврђене у Министарству унутрашњих послова Косова, на граници Македоније и Косова, у рејону села Ликово, ослоњеном на Качаник, гомилају се униформисане и наоружане групе албанских добровољаца.


У току је њихово праћење, а Министарство унутрашњих послова Македоније је проследило ову информацију колегама у Србији. Те информације добио је и Кфор. Предузете су све мере да се спречи њихов упад на територију Косова и пребацивање на север, јер се наоружане групе спремају да се пребаце на територију севера Косова, тврди извор „Правде“, наводећи да према оперативним подацима, који су доспели на сто министра косовске полиције Бајрама Реџепија, екстремисти планирају упад и на територију прешевске долине.
