A 62-year-old person was hit by a train last night at 11:30 pm near Ilinden station, on Skopje-Tabanovce railway.
The Sector of Internal Affairs Skopje informs that a 62-year-old immigrant from Afghanistan sustained heavy injuries and was immediately transferred to the Emergency Center.
He was accompanied by two other persons that were taken to the Transit Center for Foreigners in Gazi Baba municipality.
In the last tragic accident near Veles, 14 immigrants were killed.

A 62-year-old person was hit by a train last night at 11:30 pm near Ilinden station, on Skopje-Tabanovce railway.

SKOPJE – The Macedonian state prosecutor has formally indicted the leading opposition politician over his role in a surveillance scandal that has challenged the nine-year rule of Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski, RFE/RL reports.

The prosecutor said in a statement published April 30 that Zoran Zaev, leader of the opposition Social Democrats, would be charged with “violence against representatives of the highest state bodies.” The statement said four other people had been indicted.
The charges relate to a series of wiretaps that Zaev has published purporting to show Gruevski and other senior officials conspiring to choose judges and employ members of their own party in state jobs.
Zaev says he received the recordings from a whistle-blower. He faces up to four years in jail.
The wiretapping scandal has tarnished Macedonia’s reputation with the EU and international watchdogs for upholding the rule of law and protecting press freedoms.

The employees at the Finance Ministry are to accomplish their work assignments across the city on a bicycle.
The bicycles of the public servants will carry plates reading Ministry of Finances.
The idea to use bikes as official vehicles was accepted by the employees with great enthusiasm.

Skopje (dpa) - Rund 50 Bewaffnete haben in der mazedonischen Hauptstadt Skopje das Zentrum der Islamischen Gemeinschaft dieses Balkanlandes besetzt. Es gehe um die schon lange schwelende Auseinandersetzung zwischen zwei muslimischen Gruppen, berichteten die Medien übereinstimmend. In der Vergangenheit sollen sich die beiden führenden Geistlichen öffentlich geprügelt haben, was von der IVZ allerdings bestritten wurde. Eine Reaktion der Regierung gab es noch nicht.
