Philip Zepter - Serbia

Known as “the king of pots”, Philip Zepter, born in Serbia as Milan Jankovic, emigrated to
Austria in his 30s. He worked at the AMC, leading global pots company’s sale department and then based on the same concept founded his own sale chain Zepter Trade GmbH. He now confirms his wealth is worth US$ 4 bn.
His Zepter International Holding now consists of pots factory in Italy, medical equipment factory in Switzerland, cutlery factory in Germany and a broad retailing chain.
In Serbia, Zepter owns a shipyard on the Sava River in Belgrade, an insurance company (recently sold to Uniqa) and phone operator Zepterphone.
Last March, he sold 75.1 percent of shares of his Zepter Bank to the Hungarian OTP for EUR 41.3 mn. He lives in Monaco.
Miroslav Miskovic - Serbia
US$ 1.5 bn
Miskovic owns a retailing monopoly in Serbia, Delta Holding which he founded in 1991 and which had a US$ 1.1 bn revenue in 2005 and projected revenues of US$ 1.4 bn in 2006.
His empire includes: Delta M (food processing companies, chemicals firms, retail chain, car sales and financial services); Delta Sport (the leading sports equipment retailer in the Balkans and in Russia); Delta MC (bicycle and construction machinery production and tyre sales), and the Delta Generali, insurance company.
He owns approximately 8 sq. miles of land in the Serbian northern province of Vojvodina and twice as much land in Montenegro’s Lustica peninsula.
He has recently purchased two houses in London for GBP 25.5 mn.
Karic Family - Serbia
US$ 670 mn
The most important family member Bogoljub Karic fled Serbia at the beginning of 2006 to avoid embezzlement charges.
The family (he and his three brothers Sreten, Dragoljub and Zoran) got rich in 1990s as unofficial bankers of the then Serbian ruler Slobodan Milosevic. The family owns properties in Cyprus, Russia, Britain and US.
Ivica Todoric – Croatia

Todoric owns the food processing holding company Agrokor which controls 15 manufacturing companies in agriculture products, mineral water, wine procuding, ice-cream, cooking oil and salt, margarine as well as the leading Croatia’s retailing chain Konzum.
The Agrokor 2005 revenue was US$ 2.2 bn.
Stanko Cane Subotic - Serbia
US$ 500 mn
Subotic was often talked about as a shady Serbian businessman in the West or as a member of one of notorious Serbian Surcin Mafia. He owns the Cyprus-based Bonarex company consisting of meat processing Famis and D-Trade companies.
He exports beer, alcohol, domestic chemistry and mineral water.
Enver Moralic - Croatia
US$ 430 mn
Bosnia-born Moralic, lives in neighboring Croatia. He owns large agriculture holdings Boznjakovina and Kutjevo.
He is in grains and seeds production, cultivating vineyards and wine productions. His Kutjevo Holding owns 29 sq. miles of fertile soil, gardens, vineyards, hunting grounds and the number of other properties, even in Germany, Slovenia and Ukraine.
