Heute zufällig in einem regionalen TV-Sender aus der Schwarzmeerküste gesehen.

Apolas Lermi was born in 1984 to a farmer family at the Tonya Distrct of the Black Sea's significant cultural city Trabzon. He performed at many concert both in Turkey and Europe.
'Kalandar' the first solo effort by Apolas Lermi aims to merge the enthnic music of the Black Sea Area with Anatolian and World Music. The Songs featured in the album were sung in Turkish and Black Sea Romaic( Romeika). There are not many examples in Turkey in that manner.
Black Sea Romaic (Romeika) is dialect of Greek which is a member of Indo-European Languages and nowadays its spoken by the Muslims in the villages of Tonya, Çaykara, Dernekpazarı, Sürmene, Maçka counties in Trabzon. Most of the people who was born before 1923 interchange and spoke this dialect has died and it could not be relayed young generations. This dialect is different from Modern Greek and still spoken in the North Greece, where Black Sea Rums (Pontic Greeks) immigrated after 1923 interchange. Also it is possible to find the traces of this dialect in the rookeries of Athens and round of Thessaloniki province; The Crimea,Russia and Georgia where allowed immigrations, even in Azerbaijani and Kazakstan where the relegated people lived in the Stalin period.
'Kalandar' which is tradional folk songs ranked among besides compositions works, is a gift presented to felloweship of the cultures which have lived in the same earth for years.
