GB-Kosovo: Zusammenarbeit im Sicherheitsbereich



Heute unterzeichnete der kosovarische Verteidigugnsminister, Fehmi Mujota, eine Vereinbarung zur Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem Verteidigungsministerium der Republik Kosovo und des Verteidigungsministeriums von Großbritannien.
Mit dieser Vereinbarung wird die weitere Zusammenarbeit zwischen den zwei Ministerien im Bereich der Sicherheitspolitik konkretisiert. Grossbritannien wird die Mitarbeiter des kosovarischen Verteidigungsministeriums durch den Austausch von Erfahrungen und beim Training unterstützen. Zusätzlich wurde ein Modell zur zukünftigen Zusammenarbeit im Bereich der Sicherheit und der Verteidigung vorgelegt.
Diese Vereinbarung ist mit der Unterzeichnung in Kraft getreten. An der Unterzeichnungszeremonie nahmen auch Vertreter des Aussenministeriums des Kosovo teil.

Dies ist die erste Vereinbarung zur Zusammenarbeit, welche das kosovarische Verteidigungsministerium mit einem Verteidigungsministeriums eines befreundeten Staates und NATO-Mitglieds unterzeichnete. Die Unterzeichnung dieser Vereinbarung ebnet den Weg für eine weitere Zusammenarbeit.

Kosovo signs the Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance with the EU



Mr. Hashim Thaci, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, and Mr. Renzo Davidi, Chief of the Liaison Office of the European Commission in Pristina signed the Agreement on Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance with the EU which grants Kosovo 60 million euros dedicated to projects to help the EU integration prospect of Kosovo.“The Government of Kosovo with an extraordinary dedication is conduction all the reforms needed to speed up the process of fulfilling the standards for the integration of our country in the EU”, was said by the Prime Minister Thaci during the ceremony while guarantying full transparency and dedication.

EU Special Representative calls Kosovo Serbs to return to their homes



EU Special Representative and ICSR Peter Feith while visiting Northern Kosovo called Kosovo Serbs to return to their homes. “I want to encourage all Serbs to return to their homes, because the security situation now is much better. The EU will do everything to develop this environment, to help people live normally in this environment” Feith said. On the other hand Minister for Communities and Return in the Government of Kosovo Sasa Rasic said that this ministry, with the help of the international community, would secure all necessary conditions for the returnees to be able to continue a normal life upon their return”.

Investments and Trade with Kosovo in Zürich



The Vienna office of Investment Promotion Agency of Kosovo and the Chamber of Commerce Switzerland are organizing a joint event about Investments and Trade with Kosovo.
The event will take place on 24 June 2009, starting from 10:00 in Hotel Engimatt, Engimattstrasse 14, 8002 Zürich.

U prezantuan projektet për zhvillim të përbashkët rajonal




Këshilli për Bashkëpunim Rajonal prezantoi sot edhe në Prishtinë aktivitetet, prioritetet dhe projektet për zhvillim të përbashkët rajonal. Ndër fushat më me prioritet janë ekonomia dhe Zhvillimi Social, energjia dhe infrastruktura, çështjet e brendshme dhe drejtësia, siguria, ndërtimi i kapaciteteve njerëzore dhe bashkëpunimi Parlamentar.

Në Berivojcë të Kamenicës u përurua projekti i rehabilitimit të rrjetit energjetik





U mbajt ceremonia e inaugurimit të projektit "Riparimi i rrjetit energjetik" në fshatin Berivojcë të Kamenicës, donacion i Republikës Çeke prej 70 mijë euro. Ambasadorja e Republikës Çeke zonja Janina Hrebickova duke shpreh kënaqësinë për përurimin e rrjetit tha se “ ky projekt që sot po e përurojmë nuk është ky projekt i madh por do të kontribuojë në mënyrë të konsiderueshme për përmirësimin e jetesës këtu. “Me këtë projekt kemi pas qëllim ti arrijmë dy synime; synimi i parë ka qenë që të përmirësojmë furnizimin e banorëve më energji elektrike, ndërsa qëllimi i synimit dytë është që t’ju ndihmojmë që të kuptoni se kushdo që jeton këtu ka nevojë për ndihmë që të ndihmohet bashkëjetesa shumetnike”, ka thënë ambasadorja Janina.
Ndërkaq, zëvendës drejtor i UNDP në Kosovë Tetsuo Kondo para të pranishmëve ka thënë se Rehabilitimi i rrjetit do të përmirësojë kushtet në përgjithësi të fshatit Berivojcë
“UNDP-ja do të fillojë të mbështesë komunën me projekte tjera sidomos nëpër fshatra shumetnike, siç është rasti i fshatit Berivojcë”, ka thënë Kondo.
Projektet e tilla mbështesin mirëqenien dhe bashkëjetesën kanë thënë kryetari Begzad Sinani dhe zv/kryetari i komunës Gradimir Mikiq.

Komisioni Evropian financon projektet në Kosovë në vlerë prej 60 mil.€




Komisioni Evropian dhe qeveria e Kosovës nënshkruan Marrëveshje Financimi për sigurimin e 60 milionë eurove shtesë për zhvillimin socio-ekonomik të Kosovës sipas programit vjetor të Komisionit Evropian, Instrumentit për Para-Anëtarësim. Komisioni Evropian vazhdon me financimin e projekteve të Qeverisë nga mjetet e zotuara në konferencën e donatorëve. Në këtë kuadër, shefi i zyrës së KE-së në Prishtinë, Renzo Davidi dhe kryeministri Hashim Thaçi nënshkruan marrëveshjen e financimit prej 60 milionë eurosh të cilat do të përdoren për financimin e shumë projekteve tjera zhvillimore. Shef i zyrës së Komisionit Evropian në Kosovë, tha se KE mbetet i përkushtuar për të mbështetur zhvillimin e Kosovës..
Kryeministri Hashim Thaçi foli për punën që po bën qeveria në thellimin e reformave që do të ndihmojnë Kosovën për t’u bërë anëtare e BE-së. Ai u zotua për transparencë dhe llogaridhënie për çdo cent që do të shpenzohet nga mjetet e donatorëve.
Nga 60 milion eurot, 25 milionë do të shpenzohen për ndërtimin e Pallatit të Drejtësisë , 25 milion tjera janë mbështetje për projektet infrastrukturore ndërsa 10 milion do të shkojnë në fondin e Mirëbesimit për Zhvillim të Qëndrueshëm dhe Mbështetje për Menaxhimin e Borxheve.
Këto mjete janë pjesë e zotimit prej 508 milion eurosh që e ka bërë Komisioni Evropian në Konferencën e Donatorëve për Kosovën që është mbajtur vitin e kaluar.

U prezantua "Macher software" nga Austria




Në Odën Ekonomike të Kosovës sot është prezantuar veprimtaria e kompanisë "Macher software GmbH" nga Austria e njohur në punimin e moduleve moderne të teknologjisë informative për menaxhim të ndërmarrjeve. Drejtori për marrëdhënie me jashtë ne OEK, Safet Gërxhaliu me ketë rast theksoi rendësin e prezencës sa më të madhe të kompanive të njohura botërore nga lëmit e ndryshme në Kosove dhe mundësinë e bashkëpunimit të tyre me ndërmarrjet kosovare, jo vetëm ne lëmine e tregtisë por edhe ne lëmit tjera, posaçërisht në prodhim dhe bartjen e dijes. Duke prezantuar kompaninë, përfaqësuesi i Macher software, Diter Macher theksoi se kjo kompani merret kryesisht me ofrimin e moduleve të teknologjisë informative të cilët bëjnë te mundur efikasitetin e punës dhe kontrollin e rregullte te gjitha rrjedhave ne afarizmin e ndërmarrjeve te cilat përdorin këto module. Përfaqësuesi i Nismës ekonomike për Kosovën (ECIK), me seli ne Vjenë Kujtim Dobruna theksoi se kjo nismë, e cila financohet nga pala austriake, ka arritur rezultate të rëndësishme në përfaqësimin e interesave te bizneseve dhe ekonomisë kosovare në rajonin gjermanofolës. Duke folur për aktivitetin ne sjelljen e ndërmarrjeve ne Kosove ka theksuar se firma Macher software është ndërmarrja e 50 te cilën ECIK e sjell dhe prezanton ne Kosove. Prezantimi i ndërmarrjes Macher softwer në Kosovë ka për qellim që t'i kontribuojë njohjes së mundësive për shfrytëzimin e teknologjisë informative me qëllim të menaxhimit të suksesshëm të ndërmarrjeve në Kosovë, tha Dobruna.

Kosovo Turks as an integral part of the new Kosovo



“The Government of Kosovo is working hard that all citizens of Kosovo feel as equals”. These are the words of the Kosovo Minister of Interior Zenun Pajaziti in Mamusha while opening the Civil Registry Office. Mamusha before used to be only a large village of simple Kosovo Turk farmers.



Mamusha is in many ways unique and the fact that now it is a new municipality in the new Kosovo is quite remarkable. Mamusha is one of the examples of the highest Europian standards that the new Kosovo is working hard to implement.
Considering that Kosovo was administered by the Ottoman Empire for over 500 years, in Kosovo the Turkish language is considered as the language of the former feudal elite, rich landlords and owners of mini urban industry. Having village of Turkish farmers is something almost unbelievable for most of Kosovo citizens; however Mamusha was always there, always hard working and always enjoying respect Kosovo wide.
Mamusha fully deserves its upgrade to a new Municipality and it fully deserves all the investing coming from Kosovo Government and elsewhere to upgrade its infrastructure. Kosovo is proud of it Turkish community and will work further to advance their wellbeing in Kosovo.

Kosovo Turks have a star in the Kosovo flag, they have a Minister in the Kosovo Government, they have their own Municipality of Mamusha and the Turkish language is an official language in Prizren, the second largest city in Kosovo and is in official use in all the sessions of Kosovo central institutions.

The Kosovo Constitution offers extensive rights and guaranties to all the minority communities and especially to the Serbian community. The majority of the Kosovo Serbs, under pressure from Belgrade, are still refusing to integrate in the Kosovo system and enjoy the extensive rights guaranteed by the Kosovo Constitution.

EULEX and Kosovo Customs successful in fighting smugglers in the north




In September 2008 in an exclusive story the daily “Express” claimed that around 2 million Euros per month ended up in the pockets of smugglers and other criminals in the northern Kosovo who took advantage of the situation created after Serb extremists burned down the border posts between Kosovo and Serbia. This lawless situation was a result of violent crackdown by Serb extremists on the Customs service in the area after the declaration of independence. For more than a year this area was heaven for smugglers and other criminal elements. However as a result of new measures introduced by EULEX that took over the area in December 2008 the situation has changed for the better. EULEX in cooperation with Kosovo Police and the Customs Services of Kosovo and Serbia has started to crack down on the smugglers. “Express” transmits the figures from Kosovo Police for only a dozen of cases of smuggling compared to more than 300 at the end of last year.
