Macedonia U17 national team won their first friendly match against Montenegrin counterparts.

Macedonia U17 celebrated a 2:1 win against Montenegro U17 on the friendly match played today in Struga.
Sulejmanov opened the scoreline as early as 6th minute when he scored a goal from free-kick from 20 meters. The same player also scored the second goal of the match in 56th minute after he and Kostadinov combined in the box.
Six minutes later Vukčević lowered Macedonia's lead with a great goal from the edge of the box, but the visitors weren't able to set the score straight until the end.
Both teams will play another friendly 2 days later, again in Struga.
Macedonia: Redjepi, Zajkov, Krivanjeva, Sulejmanov, Ilievski, Stojkovski, Ti. Fidanovski (Demir), Shakjiri (Petkovski), Babunski, Kostadinov, Te. Fidanovski (Murikj). Manager: Visar Ganiu.

Hamburg - Valmir Nafiu von der zweiten Mannschaft des FC Basel trainiert zurzeit zur Probe beim Hamburger SV mit. Der 18-jährige Mazedonier ist aktueller U-19-Nationalspieler seines Landes und wurde bereits in einem der Champions League Qualifikationspiele vom FC Basel eingesetzt.


"Er ist ein sehr talentierter Spieler, der im offensiven Bereich alles spielen kann", erklärte HSV-Trainer Thorsten Fink. In den kommenden Tagen soll über eine mögliche Zusammenarbeit entschieden werden.

Macedonian First LeagueSeason surprise Turnovo beat Metalurg, Vardar defeated Renova away, wins for Napredok and Rabotnichki as well, while Bregalnica Shtip and Shkendija shared the points.

Dejan Blazhevski's brace knocked Metalurg in Turnovo. The title contender was well defeated by the surprise of the season who continues to top the table. Blazhevski this summer signed for Turnovo after spending several years in Greece and seems like it's the perfect signing.
The battle between the League and Cup holders in Tetovo ended with league holders Vardar claiming the three points. After a goalless first half, with goals by Dragan Gjorgiev and Jovan Kostovski each, the League champions got the three points.
Unlike last season's games full with goals, Bregalnica and Shkendija played a goalless draw in Shtip. Napredok beat last placed sileks, while Rabotnichki with a goal in the injury time managed to beat Pelister.
The remaining game between Teteks and Drita is scheduled for tomorrow.

In the second friendly between the U17 national teams of Macedonia and Montenegro, the latter won 0:1 which ensured that each team recorded one win.
Macedonia U17 and Montenegro U17 split the two friendlies that were played over three days, both in Struga. The first friendly on 28 August resulted in a 2:1 win for Macedonia U17, while the youngsters of Montenegro won today's friendly 1:0 thanks to a goal by Jovan Vujović in the 30th minute.

According to FFM's website, Montenegro was the better team in the opening 45 minutes while Macedonia improved drastically in the 2nd half, where Teodor Fidanovski had the best chance but he squandered the opportunity.

Macedonia U17 starting lineup: Aleksovski, Zajkov, Krivanjeva, Demir, Ilievski, Stojkovski, Ti. Fidanovski, Shakjiri, Babunski, Kostadinov, Te. Fidanovski.

Arsenal signs goalkeeper Dejan Iliev

We can report with certainty now that Arsenal have signed 17-year-old Macedonian goalkeeper Dejan Iliev from FK Belasica.

The teenager, who has been capped at youth level, looks set to join the Arsenal Academy however he had been training with the first team as well.

Iliev impressed while on trial at London Colney and put pen-to-paper on a deal this morning under the gaze of Arsene Wenger himself.[/TD]

South-East Macedonia won over North Wales in the first round of UEFA Regions' Cup.

Macedonia once again got the chance to organize a qualifying tournament of UEFA Regions' Cup. Macedonia is in Group B along with North Wales, Eastern Region of Northern Ireland and Hestrafors of Sweden with the matches being played in Strumica and Turnovo.
In the first round South-East Macedonia won over North Wales 1:0. The lone goal was scored by Bojan Petrovski in 33rd minute.
South-East Macedonia: Mirseloski; Koteski, Tanevski, Stojchevski, Ristevski, Kjeleshoski, Suliman (90'+2 Popovski), Dehari, Tashkov, Petrovski (61' Bozhinovski), Rechkoski (71' Cvetanov).
In the next round, Macedonia plays against Hestrafors. The match is scheduled for tomorrow at 16.00 CET on Mladost Stadium in Strumica.

[h=1]Сезоната на МЗТ почна неславно: Поради тепачка прекинат мечот со Черкаси[/h]

Нецели три четвртини траеше првиот меч на МЗТ Скопје сезонава откако во 27. минута натпреварот против Черкаси мавпи беше прекинат поради општа тепачка на теренот во која учествуваа поголем дел од кошаркарите на двата тима, како и мал дел од навивачите на домашните, кои втрчаа во теренот.

Инцидентот почна помеѓу Ѓорѓи Чековски и Винстент Хантер по дојде до кошкање помеѓу играчите што беше знак за мал број неодговорни гледачи да влетаат на паркетот и да се обидат да се пресметаат со противничките играчи. Гужвата навидум брзо беше смирена, но само што се очекуваше средбата да продолжи дојде до нова пресметка помеѓу Чековски и Хантер, која се претвори во општа тепачка. Летаа удари на двете страни, почнаа да летаат шишиња од трибините по што интервенира полицијата и управата на двата клуба на кои им требаше извесно време да ги смират страстите.
Откако работите се средија, судиите прогласија крај на натпреварот, а гостинските играчи под свирежи и со по некое шише упатено кон нив го напуштија теренот. Тоа беше воедно кулминација на провокациите на дел од играчите на Черкаси, пред се на Американците, кои во неколку наврати во текот на мечот непотребно реагираа неспортски што внесе немир кај кошаркарите на МЗТ.

Во моментот на прекинот МЗТ водеше со 53-49 и беше далеку подобар противник во дотогашниот дел од средбата. Немилите сцени вечерва во „Јане Сандански“ најверојатно ќе бидат причина двата тима утре да не го одиграат договорениот пријателски меч зад затворени врати.

Goran Popov signs with West Bromwich in EPL

Macedonia left back Goran Popov has left Dynamo Kiev for English Premier League West Bromwich Albion on a season-long loan with a view to making the move permanent.
"The 27-year-old has passed a medical and will wear the number four shirt but won't be eligible for tomorrow's clash with Everton," the club said on their website (www.wba.co.uk) on Friday.
Popov has 40 international caps.
"I've said many times over the past few weeks that we've been looking to bring in one more defender and I'm delighted we've managed to sign Goran," said West Brom manager Steve Clarke.
"Goran is a player the club have closely monitored for around three years so we know what we're getting. He has also given up the opportunity to play Champions League football with Dynamo Kiev to join Albion."

Paralympic Games: Macedonian athlete Wins Gold, breaks world and olympic records

Macedonian athlete Olivera Nakovska-Bikova set Friday a world record in a 10m air pistol event at the Paralympic Games, held in London.

Competing at a qualification round, Nakovska-Bikova scored 381 points, thus achieving the best result in the world.

The Macedonian paralympic holds the top spot ahead of Friday's final.
Air pistol is a speciality of Olivera Nakovska-Bikova. She was fifth at the Paralympic Games in Beijing and came in sixth four years before in Athens.

Update: Nakovska-Bikova won the Gold Medal, first gold medal at Paralympic games after 20 years. Interestingly enough, Jovanovski won gold for Macedonia at the 92' paralympic games in Barcelona in the same sport (10m Air Pistol).

Nakovska Bikova apart from setting a world record, she also set an Olympic record in the final round by scoring 94.7, which brought her combined total to 475.7.

Training of the national team, photo: Aleksandar KiselinovChedomir Janevski held his first training in charge of Macedonia's national team earlier in the day.
Manager Chedomir Janevski and his new coaching staff introduced themselves to the players and held the first training earlier today which was lighter then normal as many players featured for their club teams over the weekend. The trainings will intensify in the next couple of days heading into Friday's qualifier against Croatia.
Except for Darko Tasevski, whose arrival from Israel is expected shortly, all other players were present and participated in some fashion during the training. You can see some exclusive photos and videos from the team's first training below.

Die Österreicher gewannen den fünften Satz 15:13.
Österreichs Volleyball-Männer sind am Donnerstag erfolgreich in die Qualifikation für die EM 2013 gestartet.


Die ÖVV-Auswahl bezwang zum Auftakt des Gruppe-C-Turniers im Wiener Budocenter Mazedonien nach hartem Kampf 3:2. Die starke Leistungsschwankungen zeigenden Österreicher lagen 0:1 und 1:2 zurück, setzten sich aber im Entscheidungssatz 15:13 durch.


Teamchef Michael Warm hatte die Mazedonien-Partie als "Schlüsselspiel" bezeichnet, schließlich warten mit Kroatien am Freitag und Tschechien am Samstag wohl zwei noch größere Kaliber auf die Österreicher. Nur der Gruppenerste nach den beiden Quali-Turnieren in Wien und Ostrava fährt fix zur Endrunde nach Dänemark.


Dementsprechend erleichtert war Warm nach dem Auftaktsieg. "Das war vom ersten bis zum letzten Ballwechsel eine Nervenschlacht. Kompliment an die Jungs, dass sie trotz des hohen Drucks bestanden haben. Das war ganz wichtig für die nächsten Tage, denn dadurch haben wir uns Lockerheit uns Selbstvertrauen aufgebaut", erklärte der Deutsche.


Auch Spieler Thomas Zass meinte: "Das Auftaktspiel bei so einem Turnier hat immer eigene Gesetze. Es war knapp, aber das Ergebnis stimmt zum Glück." Die Einnahmen des Volleyball-Abends im Budocenter kommen zu hundert Prozent krebskranken Kindern zugute.

Борко Ѓорѓиев е со Македонско потекло, игра за Хрватската фудбалска селекција за играчи до 17 годишна возраст, стана познат во Хрватската фудбалска јавност кога пред година дена на свои 16 години заигра во првата Хрватска Фудбалска Лига во дресот на Интер Запрешиќ.
Поврзаноста на младиот и талентиран фудбалер Борко Ѓорѓиев со Македонија е во тоа што неговиот татко е роден во Македонија, во Радовиш, а токму пред речиси една година редакцијата на порталот „МКФУДБАЛ“ успеа да направи интервју со Ѓорѓиев кој изјави дека би му било драго еден ден да заигра за селекцијата на Македонија.
Инаку она што е најинтересно за Ѓорѓиев, на само 16 годишна возраст ја запиша историјата на Првата Хрватска Лига станувајќи најмладиот играч во нејзината историја што некогаш заиграл во таа лига. Тој голем историски момент се случи на натпреварот против Шибеник.

Еве еден апел до ФФМ да влезе во битка за добивање на младиот и талентиран фудбалер кој забележа дури седум настапи за Хрватската Фудбалска селекција за играчи до 17 годишна возраст.

'Never change a team that's winning' is a phrase foreign to the Macedonian U21 coach Boban Babunski who for reasons known only to him changed a good portion of the team that defeated Nothern Ireland in Belfast a fortnight ago.

A must win match for Macedonia against Serbia in Krushevac ended in complete fiasco for the red and yellow team as they faced a better organized and more mature team whose players knew their place on the field.
Early on Macedonia went on the attack completely forgetting the need to defend their own goal.

The composed Serbs quickly took advantage of this and in the 11th minute Mudrinski brought lead for the hosts. Macedonia's defensive line was nowhere to be found, followed by numerous comical attempts to defend, something the red and yellow paid for dearly against Faroe Islands, a team we simply had to collect all three points from.

Milunovic scored the second for Serbia after a quick counter attack which once again caught off guard Macedonia's defenders who were all near, or deep in Serbia's half.

Macedonia had numerous chances however Trajkovski, Fazli and the rest could never hit the frame and blasted their shots over the crossbar.

Similar story in the second half. Macedonia changed nothing on its end and Serbia added two more goals to its tally, bringing the score to 4-0 via two goals by Jojich. It was after the fourth goal that Babunski made an attempt to bring in the same team that defeated Northern Ireland by announcing several substitutions.

Fazli put the red and yellow on the scoreboard in the 77' with a nice move inside the 16m box, however Serbia added another in the 81' for a final 5-1.


Today's debacle falls squarely on the coaching staff for playing with four (?!) strikers and making a mockery of the first 11. Why were the scorers against Northern Ireland benched?

On a positive note, the U21 finished the group third with 12 points. No prior qualifications has seen the U21 team get 12 points.[/TD]
