Ohne Bjelica in der Türkei wird das eine unmögliche Aufgabe für euch
According to Tom Moore from Bucks County Courier Times on Twitter, Bryan Colangelo is not opposed to bringing SG Furkan Korkmaz from Turkey to Philly this season.
Korkmaz was drafted in the 2016 draft with the 26th overall pick, spending that whole season in the Turkish League - teammates with current Sixer Dario Saric. Korkmaz was 18 years old when being drafted and turned into one of the many "draft and stash" foreign players for the Sixers.
Korkmaz has a skillset that generally translates to the NBA. He is a 6'7" guard who is developing a sharpshooter-like skillset. Korkmaz will fit extremely well into the Sixers offense, providing them with shooters. Most importantly, however, these types of shooters will help spread the floor, creating more space for Embiid to work from under the basket. In today's NBA, spreading the floor has become necessary and players like Korkmaz, who scare the defense with elite shooting ability, make that possible.
It is not yet known how the buyout of Korkmaz's Anadolu Efes contract will commence, whether it be outright or paid over a series of smaller payments.
Korkmaz will need to bulk up and become NBA ready in all aspects before joining the Sixers. He also is a sub-par defender, but is working hard to improve in his weaker areas.
This year, however, could be his chance to contribute to the Sixers offense.

#Sixers Bryan Colangelo: 'It's looking more likely Furkan Kormaz will come (to the #76ers) this year based on our own desires.'
Furkan Korkmaz was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers with the first-round, 26th pick of the 2016 Draft and after spending the previous season in Europe, he’s ready for the NBA jump.
At least that’s what his agent, Misko Raznatovic hinted on Twitter, with a message written in… perfect Turkish.
“76ers fans now have all the more reason to drink more Turkish beer,” is the translation of Raznatovic’s tweet.
Eurohoops sources have informed us that Anadolu Efes is indeed negotiating with the Philadelphia 76ers for the details of the Turkish swingman’s release. Korkmaz’s buy-out is 2 million euros.
The 19-year-old player began the season with Efes but was loaned to Banvit on December to see more minutes on the floor. With the team from Bandirma, Korkmaz averaged 10.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game in the Basketball Champions League, helping his squad reach the Final and being named “Best Young Player” of the competition in the process.
In Philadelphia, the Turkish player will reunite with 2017 All-Rookie First Team member Dario Saric, who was Korkmaz’s teammate in Efes from 2014 to 2016.
