3 policeman killed as PM vows to fight PKK
three police officers were killed on Tuesday in a bomb attack in Turkey's predominantly Kurdish Southeast.
A bomb planted at the side of the main road between Diyarbakır and Silvan by the PKK was detonated, apparently by remote control as a police armored vehicle passed.
Two police officers were also wounded in the attack.
Another policeman was injured on the same day in a shootout in Diyarbakır with PKK terrorists, who seek to establish an autonomous zone.
In the area surrounding the historic Kurşunlu Mosque in the Sur district of the city, where clashes have been taking place for more than two weeks, members of the Patriotic Revolutionary
Youth Movement (YDG-H), an affiliate of the terrorist PKK, have dug trenches and set up makeshift barricades on the streets.
