‚Süleyman der Prächtige’ hat Rekord gebrochen. Der Doku-Film ‚Süleyman der Prächtige’, der gestern Abend im französischen Fernsehkanal ‚France 2’ ausgestrahlt wurde brach den Einschaltrekord. Mit 3,5 Millionen Zuschauern verzeichnete der Doku-Film 18 % Einschaltquote. Die unter dem Beitrag und der Kooperation Kultur- und Präsentationsrates in Paris fertig gestellten Aufnahmen wurden in Istanbul und Frankreich durchgeführt. In der Dokumentation wurden historische Orte wie das Topkapı Palast, Süleymaniye, Silhouetten des Bosporus und Ausschnitte der Serie ‚Prächtiges Jahrhundert’ vorgestellt. Nach der Ausstrahlung bedankte sich der Zuständige vom Sender France 2, Laurent Menec beim Kultur- und Präsentationsrat in Paris telefonisch für den Beitrag der türkischen Zuständigen.

“Remembering Piri Reis, who has marked his name in the history of the world’s cartography, after 500 years by other countries in UNESCO’s scientific, education and cultural commissions, is very important to refresh the world’s memory and to remember what Turks gained in the history of science,” said Culture and Tourism Minister Ertuğrul Günay at a press conference held yesterday in Ankara.
