Finalized windmills mounting in Bogdanci

The Wind Park of power stations “Bogdanci” entering its final phase of construction. At the field are already uploaded and fully completed all 16 windmills and currently runs activities for connecting the wind park to the electricity network MEPSO.
For connecting the wind park power stations Bogdanci to the distribution network this morning from 5 to 7 were without electricity settlements in the municipality of Gevgelija, Valandovo, Dojran and Bogdanci. The work has already been completed and the four municipalities have normal power supply.
Follows a period of testing the performance of the complete technical equipment after which the facility will enter into production.
It is completed the performance of the necessary infrastructure and accessory facilities at the wind park, the road infrastructure is built, connected to transmission lines, control building and 20/110 kilovolt substation. It remains to be realized the paving of the access road and horticultural activities in the area around the windmills.
PVE “Bogdanci” with 16 windmills flung on 29 hectares is expected to deliver at least 100 GW/Hs naturally sustainable energy, which on annual base is enough to supply 60,000 households of citizens. At the same time, they will increase the installed power of AD ELEM 36.8 MW and the share of renewable sources in its production.
The wind park are built-in turbines, produced by Siemens – Denmark, which are among the best in its class. The installed capacity of each is 2.3 MW, the height of the pillar is 84 meters and the diameter of the propeller is 93 meters.
The realization of the project costs 55.5 million euro, out of which 47.9 million is loan from the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany through KfW Bank, while 7.6 million euro are provided by ELEM’s own funds.

The 'energy' future of Macedonia lies in using renewable sources of energy as wind, biomass, small hydro power plants, says Sanja Bozinovska, Director of the Sector of Energy Trading in RUDNAP.
RUDNAP is one of the largest regional companies in Southeastern Europe, providing full energy trading and investment services, with a focus on renewable sources. The company is making significant efforts towards developing a number of renewable energy projects such as wind, biomass and small hydro power plants in order to set up proprietary generation facilities, aimed at enhancing effectiveness of energy trading. Through the realization of renewable energy projects, partial development and manufacturing of equipment is going to be organised within RUDNAP Group's companies.
"These are green-energy resources with relatively low prices, environment-friendly, and highly effective so there is no need of importing fuel, says Bozinovska.
"Windmills, which have the capacity to produce huge amounts of energy, do not take space and are a great renewable source in and out of the cities, Bozinovska adds.
She underlines that these opportunities must be seized because Macedonia has abundance. They are also a great possibility for attracting foreign investments.

Janakieski: The reconstruction of the railroad from Bitola to Greece will start this year

In the second half of the year is expected to begin the construction work for the reconstruction of the railway Bitola – Kremenica with branch to the industrial zone Zhebeni, said Minister of Transport and Communications Mile Janakieski after today’s inspection of civil works at the construction of sewage in Radishani.
He added that the procedure for supervision is published and by early April, the companies interested in supervision should submit their offers.
- This means development for this region, because we will have new connection between Macedonia and Greece, but also what is very important that we will have pipeline to the industrial zone Zhabeni that will make it even more attractive both for domestic and for foreign investors, said Janakieski.
He stressed that European side already approved the entire tender documents for construction works and the procedure is expected to start in April.
The period for applications submitted by the companies will last 90 days.

Macedonia-Bulgaria Railway to be Completed by 2022

The railroad between Macedonia and Bulgaria will be constructed by 2022, Macedonia's Minister of Transport and Communications, Mile Janakieski, has announced.
Janakieski also said the complete railroad infrastructure will be overhauled, at an event marking the first railway connecting Thessaloniki and Veles and the 141[SUP]st[/SUP] anniversary of the Macedonian Railway enterprise.
The Minister congratulated the company on reaching its milestone, saying the Government intends to turn the Macedonia-Bulgaria railway connection into reality by 2022.
"A 141-year anniversary is truly worth of esteem, but the Government wishes the railway to Bulgaria to become operational by 2022. It is a project that has already been launched. The first section from Kumanovo to Beljakovce is already under construction and funds have been secured for the other two sections," Janakieski said.
As to railway investment, he announced that the construction works for Bitola-Kremenica section, an investment that stands at EUR 20 million, were to begin by the end of the year. Other investment includes the reconstruction of the Corridor 10 sections, worth EUR 18.6 million.
The Thessaloniki-Veles rail line was first put into operation in 1873. The same year, construction of the first line in Macedonia, connecting Thessaloniki and Skopje, was completed and the first train arrived at the Skopje station.
