Albania is expecting to benefit a 1 billion Euro direct foreign investment from TAP (Trans Adriatic Pipeline).
This was admitted in London by the deputy minister of energy and industry, Dorian Ducka.
He said that the Albanian government doesn’t see its role in this project as a transit country, but it aims to turn into a crucial junction of transportation for natural gas to Western Balkan, were Albania will also act as a junction for IAP Project in order to supply Kosovo with natural gas in the future.
Mr. Ducka says that the government is determined to realize and support the implementation of TAP project and the vision to make a timely finalization of the Master Plan for the gasification of the country in the months to come.
According to Mr. Ducka, for Albania, its involvement as a main actor in the TAP project, means a real integration in the European Union.
In an effort to encourage investments in energy, Mr. Ducka invited representatives of foreign companies in the energy market to invest in the new natural gas market, but also in other energy sources in Albania.
Mr. Ducka issued these declarations in the European Energy Forum (photo) held in London under the auspices of the European Center for Energy Security and Sources at the Prestigious King’s College in London.
The forum explored some of the main challenges for the future of security and infrastructure of energy in Europe and the possibilities for investment and business in this sector. /ibna/
