Government pays vine, tobacco growers and gardeners' subsidies

The Finance Ministry has paid Denar 341 million (EUR 5,5 million) in subsidies to 13,041 farmers - vine growers, tobacco growers and gardeners.
Denar 104 million (EUR 1,7 million) have been paid to 4,679 vine growers, i.e. Denar 40,000 (EUR 650) per hectare.
Denar 165 million (EUR 2,7 million) have been allocated to 3,263 tobacco growers, i.e. Denar 60 (EUR 1) per produced and sold kilogram of tobacco.
Moreover, Denar 70 million (EUR 1,1 million) have been paid to 5,099 farmers for produced gardening plants, i.e. Denar 6,000-30,000 (EUR 100-500) per hectare, depending on the plant.
"The Government remains consistent in supporting agriculture as one of the leading pillars of Macedonian economy", the Finance Ministry said in a press release.
