SP hails Hague decision
Socialist Party hailed yesterday the decision of Hague Tribunal on the acquittal of Fatmir Limaj and Isak Musliu, accused for violation of war laws and crimes against humanity during Kosovo war in 1999. Majko considered the decision great news for Kosovo people. “Certainly, Hague Tribunal is awkward name, but the decision it took on Fatmir Limaj and Isak Musliu comprises an indispensable moment and certainly appreciable; it was ascertained one more time that those who fought for their right cannot be called terrorist, on the contrary, terrorist can be called those who bore epaulets,” – Majko said. Limaj, 34, was a senior figure in the KLA and a key ally of ex-KLA commander Hashim Thaci in his Democratic Party of Kosovo, now the main opposition party in the U.N.-run province.Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova, said the verdict "proves the fairness of the war of liberation from Serbian occupation, for the freedom and independence of our country". Prime Minister Bajram Kosumi said it proved "Fatmir and his co-fighters had only one goal, the liberation of Kosovo".
