Four teams face off in Under-19 European Football Championship
The first qualifying round of the Under-19 European Football Championship in Group 6 is about to kick off in the Macedonian town of Strumica. Four teams: Macedonia, Ukraine, Switzerland and Kazakhstan are to be competing for two places in the elite round of the tournament. Prior to their trip to Macedonia, Kazakhstan’s youngsters held a training session on the basis of Kazakhstan's national teams in Talgar under the guidance of their coach, Serbian specialist Slobodan Krcmarevic. In comparison with the previous training sessions and after Kazakhstan’s participation in our junior team in the SCO Cup the specialist substantially changed the line-up and focused on players who have playing experience in the national championship. In their first match in Strumica, the Kazakhstan team will play against the Ukraine.
Slobodan Krcmarevic, Head Coach, Kazakhstan National Under-19 Football Team
«We don’t have obvious outsiders and leaders in our group. It means that everyone has a chance to get a qualification to the next round. Despite the fact that the football season is about to end in Kazakhstan and players are tired, we are not going to play only in defense… we will be attacking too.»
