Itali, arrestohen katër shqiptarë me 30 kg heroinë


Policia italiane ka bërë të mundur arrestimin e katër shqiptarëve në qytetin e Bolonjës, dhe sekuestrimin e 30 kilogramë heroine që vinte nga Turqia.



Lënda narkotike ishte e futur nëpër bidona plastikë, dhe kishte si destinacion veriun e Italisë. Vlera e heroinës së sekuestruar arrin deri në 2 milionë euro.

Deri më tani nuk jepen identitetet e shqiptarëve, dhe nëse ata kanë bashkëpunëtorë të tjerë apo jo.

Operacioni “Arsenali”, një shtetas përfundon në pranga

Policia e Qarkut Lezhë ka finalizuar me sukses operacionin koduar “Arsenali”, me anë të të cilit u arrit të kapej në flagrancë dhe të arrestohej shtetasi Arben Simoni, me precedentë penalë të mëparshëm.


40- vjetari Simoni, lindur dhe banues në lezhe, u arrestua pasi gjatë kontrollit të ushtruar në banesën e tij në lagjen Sheher, iu gjetën dhe sekuestruan në cilësinë e provës materiale, një sasi e konsiderueshme armësh dhe municionesh luftarake, duke përfshirë, automatikë, mitralozë, pushkë, disa dhjetëra granada ofensive dhe defensive, dhjetëra kallëpe tritoli dhe arka me fishekë.

Në njoftimin e Drejtorisë së Policisë së Qarkut Lezhë, thuhet se materialet në ngarkim të shtetasit Arben Simoni, iu dërguan Prokurorisë së Rrethit Gjyqësor Lezhë, për procedim të mëtejshëm.

Albania's Tirana Bank opens new agency in Tirana

The local subsidiary, Tirana Bank, of Greek Pireaus bank, announced the opening of a new agency located in the premises of Hygeia hospital which was inaugurated recently, the bank reported.

“With this agency, the branches and agencies of Tirana Bank will become 53, becoming the second largest branch network in the country,”
the bank said.

This agency would provide more possibilities for customers offering them different banking products and services such as Deposits, Foreign Exchange, Visa Credit Card, International Payments, Loans, 24 Hour ATM, etc.

Tirana Bank with the opening of the new branch continues its plans for a further increase of its network in line with the new objectives of Pireaus Bank Group.

Albania raises wages for 100,000 public servants


The Albanian Government decided yesterday to take a further step toward greater public expenses, a week after the increase of pensions for more then half a million people.

Salaries of active military in the Republic Armed Forces, State Police, tax inspectors will increased from 4 to 5.2 per cent, said Premier Berisha.

Doctors' salaries will increase by 11 percent, by 9 per cent the wages of nurses, teachers' salaries will increase by 6 percent. Low salaries will increase by 10 percent, but there will be not increase of higher salaries, like those of the President of the Republic, the Prime Minister, ministers, the deputy ministers and other political positions.

It was a opposition proposal and it was a good one, Berisha said. He declared that budgetary expenses will decrease by some 40 billion leks (Euro 290 million), normally cutting off investment funds.

Albanian inflation reached 3.2% in June up from May's 3.1%


Albanian inflation reached 3.2% in June up from May's 3.1% Albania's consumer price inflation was an annualized 3.2% in June, up from 3.1% a month earlier, the Institute of Statistics reported.

Month on month, the consumer price index registered a 0.5% decrease.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages decreased 1.9% from May, driven mainly by price hikes in vegetables.

Clothing and shoes decreased 0.1% from May, while alcoholic beverages and tobacco rose 0.5% from the previous month, INSTAT said in a statement.

Transport decreased 0.1%, diesel fuel up 0.2%, and gasoline 0.3%, the statement added.

Albania's TACRA approves several important decisions in the field of tourism

Territorial Adjustment Council of Republic of Albania (TACRA) approved on Tuesday also several important decisions in the field of tourism. Following are the decisions:

1. Task for project of general adjustment plan of Vile-Bashtove tourist area, approval of general adjustment plan of this area, as well as partial town planning studies for implementation of this plan, Commune Gose, Kavaja.

Premier Berisha said that in this area will be realized one of the biggest tourist projects in the country, envisaging a 1.2 billion euro investment, and giving Vile-Bashtova back all the values of this area. “In the ancient history, Vile-Bashtova has been one of the most important ports and centers for Elbasan and entire Middle Albania.

The Project coordinates several elements, such as exploitation of most beautiful views of the zone, construction of sport complexes, which will offer accommodation for 30 thousand holidaymakers, including daily tourism. The Premier pointed to the fact that arable lands are not affected, due to exploitation of wastelands, re-generating them and turning into one of the most beautiful tourist resorts of the Adriatic coast.

The Premier congratulated the company for the project, as well as local authorities, as a testimony of their iron will for attraction of investments.

2. The task of Project for a Master plan in tourist area of Pogradec-Drilon and master plan of tourist area Pogradec-Drilon, in commune Buçimas, Korça District.

Premier Berisha urged respect of Convents for preservation of Ohrid Lake, as well as possibility of integration of this area in general master plan of the Lake, which should start from Lin to Tushemisht. The Coast, together with Drilon, - the Premier said – consists of a precious tourist pearl of all the shores of the lakes and seas of the country. Source; Government

International group of investors to launch 1.2 bn euro Albanian tourism project

Albania’s Prime Minister Sali Berisha met a group ofrepresentatives of investors in the Gose Island tourism project to beconstructed in the Gose Commune, Kavaja district, headed by Mike Wilson.



Large group of investors operating in the fields ofinternational business development, real estate, catering, urban planning,marine civil engineering, banking and financial markets is on a visit toTirana, to launch the resort project Gose Island.



The 1.2 billion euro investment resort will include theconstruction of sport complexes, which will offer accommodation for 30,000holidaymakers, including daily tourism. The project will have a great impact oneconomic development and employment for the entire region.



In the project will be engaged internationallyprestigious partners such as Extreme Hotels, Lovejoy capita, European GolfDesign, Metro Urbe, Real Estate Capital Group, etc.



On Tuesday the Territorial Adjustment Council of Republicof Albania approved the task for project of a general adjustment plan ofVile-Bashtove tourist area, approval of general adjustment plan of this area,as well as partial town planning studies for implementation of this plan,Commune Gose, Kavaja, which includes the project.



Prime Minister Berisha thanked the participants forpresenting such an ambitious project and assured investors of the government'ssupport.

Albania points to the decision for construction of eolic parks and approval of studies for construction sites for several hydro-power stations

Premier Berisha chaired ,this week, the meeting of Territorial Adjustment Council of Republic of Albania (TACRA), which reviewed and approved several important decisions in the field of energy. Premier Berisha, at the same time chairman of TACRA, pointed to the decisions for construction of eolic parks and approval of studies for construction sites for several hydro-power stations. Following are the decisions approved by TACRA:

1. The task for project of a master plan for construction, installation and exploitation of the eolic energy plant “KAPPET” in Commune of Çerrava, Vreshtas, Qender Bilisht, Korça District.

2. The task for project and master plan for Energy and Eolic Park in Kryevidh, Tirana District.

Regarding the eolic park in Kryevidh, Premier Berisha, taking into consideration the fact that this area is suitable for construction of wind parks, urged the guaranty for elimination of acoustic pollution, in respect of priority of this area for tourism. The distance of the turbines – said the Premier – should allow zero noise from tourist areas. We will not accept any noise from the Park in one of the most beautiful areas, such as Spille, etc. The Premier stressed that this request is valid for the entire coast and all the tourist companies.

Investment for construction of this park amounts to 144 million euro.

3. Construction site for hydro-power station of Sasaj, in Commune of Lukova

The hydro power station of Sasaj envisages the construction of a 2.35 km tunnel and a generating capacity of about 38 million kW/hour of energy per year.

TACRA backed the request of the Premier and Technical Secretariat for providing the building of the hydro power station with a beautiful architectural view, being in harmony with the tourist area of Lukova.

4. The town planning study and construction site for hydro power stations of “Bele1”, “Bele2”, “Orgjost i ri”, “Topojan 1”, “Topojan 2”, in the communes of Zapod and Topojan, Kukes District.

The hydro power stations, an investment of 30 million euro, will have an installed power of about 25.3 megawatt and a production of about 120 million kW/hour per year.

5. The town planning study and construction site for hydro power station of “Peshk”, Martanesh.

This hydro power station will have an installed power of about 18 million kW/hour of energy per year.

Likewise, TACRA approved:

1. Change to project of cement plant COLACEM, within limits of the site permit approved before.

2. Study on coast deposit, fuel terminal, Village Rinia, Porto Romano, Durres District, with a surface of 31983 m2, investor Europetrol, Durres, Albania. Project includes an about 10 million euro investment. Source; Government

Shkodër, goditet aktiviteti i paligjshëm i lotarive

Policia e Shkodrës finalizoi me sukses operacionin e koduar “Lotaria e Fundit”, duke bllokuar e aktivitetit të paligjshëm të lojërave të fatit, në kuadër të operacione të vazhdueshme në qytet kundër këtij aktiviteti.

Policia lokale bën të ditur se, si rezultat i këtij operacioni nga Sektori Kundër Krimit Financiar, në bashkëpunim me Komisariatin e Policisë dhe Prokurorinë e Rrethit Gjyqësor, gjatë kontrolleve u sekuestruan 44 aparatura të lojërave të fatit dhe 1 Rulete.

Nga ana e policisë u kryen të gjitha veprimet e duhura proceduriale dhe materialet në ngarkim të shtetasve që ushtrojnë aktivitet të paligjshëm të lojërave do t’i kalojnë në gjendje të lirë, Prokurorisë Rrethit për veprën penale të “Organizimit të lotarive të palejuara”.
