Eksportet në Portin e Durrësit rriten me 2.4 herë

Eksportet e mallrave vendase nga porti i Durrësit për në drejtim të vendeve të tjera në 6-mujorin e parë të këtij viti kanë pësuar një rritje 2.4 herë më shumë, krahasuar me një vit më parë.

Gjatë kësaj periudhe, në portin më të madh të vendit kanë mbërritur më shumë se 1 milionë ton mallra importi, ose 20 për qind më pak se sa në periudhën janar-qershor të vitit 2009. Autoritetet Portuale bëjnë të ditur se gjatë periudhës janar-qershor të këtij viti, anijet tregtare dhe tragetet e linjave kanë ngarkuar afro 560 mijë ton mallra shqiptare të llojeve të ndryshme, ose 308 mijë ton më shumë se sa sasia e mallrave e përpunuar në dalje nga porti detar gjatë së njëjtës periudhë të vitit 2009, të cilat më pas janë nisur drejt vendeve të tjera.

Sipas tyre, vetëm kamionët dhe trajlerat e transportuar me tragete drejt porteve të Italisë, kanë eksportuar afro 136 mijë ton mallra, ose 30 mijë ton më shumë se sa periudha janar-qershor e vitit të kaluar.

Çimentoja dhe pluhuri klinker për çimenton, zënë vendin e parë në listën e mallrave të eksportuar nga porti i Durrësit, me rreth 91 mijë ton gjithsej, ndërsa në tabelat e vitit të kaluar ky lloj malli mungonte krejtësisht-thanë burimet portuale, sipas të cilave, në listën e mallrave të eksportuara me anije gjatë këtij viti është shtuar edhe llamarina me më shumë se 66 mijë ton gjithsej.

Masakra Srebrenicës Berisha: Viktimat apel për drejtësi

TIRANE-“Shpirtrat e fëmijëve, grave, të rinjve, të moshuarve, viktima të Srebrenicës, kërkojnë nga njerëzit e lirë, qeveritë e e tyre, OKB-ja, drejtësi. Ata do të mund të prehen të qetë, vetëm atëherë kur xhelatët e tyre do të marrin dënimin më të rëndë që meritojnë”, ka vlerësuar sot nëpërjet një deklarate për shtyp kryeministri Sali Berisha.

Sic bën të ditur zyra për shtyp e kryeministrit, kreu I qeverisë ka vlerësuar sot si më të egrën dhe mizoren, masakrën e Srebrenicës.
“Sot është 15 vjetori i barbarisë më të pa parë, genocidit më të egër, më mizor, të pasluftës së dytë botërore, masakrës masive të Srebrenicës, në të cilën mbi 8 mijë civilë, burra, gra, fëmijë, të vendosura nën mbrojtjen e trupave të OKB, u ekzekutuan dhe shfarosën nga falangat e Millosheviçit e Mlladiçit, vetëm e vetëm për përkatësinë e tyre etnike dhe besimin e tyre fetar”.

Sic vlerëson zyra për shtyp e Berishës, pavarësisht mizorisë së kryer, autorët janë ende të lirë dhe nuk kanë marrë dënimin e merituar.
“Sot, në këtë përvjetor zije, dhimbja, përgjegjësia, por edhe lëndimi i ndërgjegjes së njerëzimit, për këto mijëra e mijëra jetë të pafajshme, të marra mizorisht, janë më të mëdha se 15 vjet më parë. Kjo sepse ende autori kryesor, kryexhelati i këtij gjenocidi, Radko Mlladiç dhe shumica e xhelatëve të saj gjenden të lire”, tha Berisha duke theksuar se qetësia do vijë vetëm kur xhelatët të kenë marrë dënimin e merituar.

Successful conclusion of €1 million EU-funded project for Albanian Public Internal Financial Control

The €1 million EU-funded project on Public Internal Financial Control came to a successful end on Friday. Building on a previous EU assistance in the area, this project has improved the capacities of the Albanian Government to manage expenditure of the state budget in a proper, transparent and timely way.

Transparency in the use of taxpayers’ money by state institutions is a requirement of democratic governance. A strong public internal financial control system is, therefore fundamental for monitoring how the public money is being spent.

Albania’s transition to a functional democracy and free market has heightened the need to establish a strong system of accountability of public finances and make sure that the taxes levied for the delivery of public services do not go astray.

In response to Albania’s needs in this area, and in light of its future, the Union has been constantly supporting public finance reform in Albania towards EU and international standards. In the past seven years, €6 million have been granted by the EU to assist this reform in Albania.

The PIFC project in particular supported the technical competence of Albanian financial management, control and audit bodies; the development of regulations and guidelines based on managerial accountability; raising managers’ awareness of PIFC; enhancing the skills of auditors in specialised areas such as financial audits, systems-based IT audit, and performance audit; and preparing legislation governing public internal financial control. This project has contributed to two very important laws: the Law on Financial Management and Control, and amendments to the Internal Audit Law, which have opened the way to better accountability and better management of public funds.

During the closing ceremony, the responsible Head of Operations of the Delegation of the European Union to Albania, Mr Aneil Singh emphasised that “this project has helped Albanian Government to move to EU standards and best practice that is applied in other EU member states”. Mr Singh went on to underline that “a good Public Financial Control system is essential in order to reassure the Albanian citizens that public money is being spent wisely”.

PIFC II started in August 2008 and was implemented by the National Audit Office (UK) together with its partner, the Polish Ministry of Finance over a period of 23 months. Source; European Union Press

Lëvizja për Bashkim: Një komb – Një kombëtare!

Teksa në Afrikën e Jugut pritet të fillojë finalja e madhe mes Holandës dhe Spanjës, Lëvizja Rinore për Bashkim Kombëtar zhvilloi një aksion me moton “NJË KOMB – NJË KOMBËTARE!”.

Të mbledhur para Teatrit Kombëtar të Prishtinës, të rinjtë e Lëvizjes për Bashkim Kombëtar kërkuan që formohet një ekip kombëtar, i përbashkët dhe i fuqishëm. Nga ana tjetër, ata kërkuan që të zhvillohen kampionate ndërmjet të gjitha ekipeve të të gjitha trojeve shqiptare.

Sipas organizatorëve, mjetet e mbledhura në turne të ndryshme ndërmjet ekipeve sportive do të ndihmonte ngritjen e cilësisë dhe do të përmirësonin kushtet e dobëta me të cilat ballafaqohen sportistët shqiptar në të gjitha trevat.

Berisha: Ulja e shpenzimeve, për të mos rritur borxhin

Kryeministri Sali Berisha deklaron se shkurtimi i shpenzimeve buxhetore u bë që të mos lejohej rritja e mëtejshme e borxhit publik.

Deklarata e kryeministrit Berisha erdhi në mbledhjen e grupit parlamentar të Partisë Demokratike, ku theksoi se këto shkurtime do t’i japin një mbrotje më të mirë sektorit privat nga borxhi publik.

"Qeveria rriti në mënyrë të ndjeshme rrogat dhe pensionet, pasi kjo ishte përparësia madhore e politikës sonë dhe e fytyrës sociale të kësaj qeverie", theksoi kryeministri Sali Berisha.

Bode: Rritja ekonomike 4.1 %

Ministri i Financave, Ridvan Bode bën të ditur se niveli i borxhit është 59.5 % e GDP-së së vendit.



Deklarata e ministrit Bode erdhi gjatë prezantimit të projektligjit për rishikimin e buxhetit të shtetit për vitin 2010 në Komisionin e Ekonomisë. Sipas tij, ky borxh do të zbresë në 54 % deri në vitin 2013.

Rishikimi i buxhetit parashikon që rritja ekonomike të jetë 4.1 %, nga 5.5 % që ishte programuar në buxhetin e fillimvitit. Ministria e Financave parashikon një ulje prej 20 miliardë lekësh në investimet publike. Gjithashtu, parashikohet një ulje e shpenzimeve deri në 39 miliardë lekë.

Regional Project 2010 in Albania

From 2 - 8 July the Albanian Badminton Federation organized for the third year in a row a training camp. The camp is aiming at U13 and U15 players from the Balkan region. It was supported by Badminton Europe’s ‘Regional Project 2010’-funding.

‘It was nice to see that since my last 2 times I was in Albania (November 2008, July 2009) the Albanian players have not lost their interest and motivation of playing even if they are only a handful of players of different ages and different levels of playing.

The place of the training sessions was every year better: school sports hall with 1 court - school sports hall with 4 courts – Sport Palace with the possibility of 5/6 courts.

From the very beginning during the 2 hours training there was dedication from both player’s groups - Greeks and Albanians – the loveliest thing a coach could wish for his training sessions.

In the last day, in the morning we had a singles tournament and in the afternoon a doubles tournament. Singles was played in 3 groups.
The winners of the 1st group were: 1. Ioana TRIFTI 2. Maria-Eleni ROUGLIOS 3. Ioana PILI
The winners of the two other groups played each other and the final winners were: 1. Lambros GOUVERJANOS 2. Equerem MANOKU 3. Elio TRESKA and Thomas ROUGLIOS

The doubles competition was won by Elianna MANDOUKA & Ida PILI, followed by Elio TRESKA & Equerem MANOKU on 2nd place and Chistos KARANTZAS & Thomas ROUGLIOS on 3rd place.

And at last but not at least the great “ambition & devotion show” presented by players during the tournament captured everybody’s attention from hall keepers and visitors to coaches and parents.

At departure, we all had a strange feeling that it should have lasted a few more days....’

Albania - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ilir Meta received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium in Tirana, resident in Sofia, Mr. Marc Michielsen


During this meeting they discussed on the priorities and bilateral relations with the EU Belgium Presidency during the second half of 2010. In this context, Ambassador Michielsen, informed Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ilir Meta, that the Belgium Presidency, which operates on the basis already established by the Lisbon Treaty fully supports the EU enlargement, in accordance with the respective progress of Western Balkan countries and remains committed to promote their European perspective.

Mr. Meta expressed the full commitment of the Albanian Government to the progress of the country's integrating priorities, stressing the visa liberalization for Albanian citizens and the achievement of the candidate status for EU membership. In this context, Mr. Meta stressed the importance of close collaboration with the EU Belgium Presidency, and expressed the full willingness to meet the appropriate standards in this process.

Furthermore, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Ilir Meta praised the level of bilateral relations between Albania and Belgium and underlined the necessity of strengthening them, noting the opening of the new Albanian Embassy in Brussels, as well as the significant presence of the Albanian community in Belgium.

This meeting was also attended by the Head of EU Delegation in Albania, Ambassador Helm uth Lohan .

Albania collects 55.1 billion leke customs duties in first 6 months, up 15.8% on the year


Albania’s customs office reported that the Albania collected around 55.1 billion leke (403.6 million euros / 507.6 million USD) during the period January-June 2010, up by 15.8% compared to the previous year.

In June 2010 Albania collected 10.3 billion leke (75.5 million euros /95 million USD) representing 104% of what was planned, and 20% more than what was collected in June 2009.

In the first six months of 2010 the exports in volumes reached 1,071,700 ton, or 77.7% more than a year ago, while in values the exports reached 39.6 billion leke (290 million euros / 364 million USD), representing a 159% increase from the same period a year ago.

In June 2010 the exports reached in volume 247,900 ton, up by 76.8% from a year ago, and in volumes 9.3 billion leke (68.1 million euros / 85.6 million USD), or 151% more on the year.

Albania posts Q1 growth of 2% on the year

Albania recorded GDP growth of 2% in the first quarter compared to a year ago, and up 1.8% against the fourth quarter of 2009, the National Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) reported.

The sectors that registered higher growth rate on the year were industry, transport and trade with 27.5%, 11.4% and 4.8% respectively, while construction registered a 21.1% decrease on the year.

Comparing this quarter with previous one, the sectors that registered higher growth rate were industry with 19.9% and transport with 3.5%, while post and communication decreased by 9.0% and construction by 4.3%.

Agriculture sector rise 2.3% on the year and 0.9% compared with the previous quarter.
