Albania, Germany sign 1.5 million euros agreement for water supply in rural areas
Albania and Germany signed a 1.5 million euros agreement to finance the second phase of the Water Supply in Rural Areas Project, the Albanian Ministry of Finance reported.
The aim of this project is the rehabilitation and construction of drinking water and sewerage systems in rural areas in the north of Albania, enabling the supply of sufficient clean water to villages at affordable costs, which will significantly affect the improvement of living conditions of their residents.
The project is a continuation of the first phase amounting to 8.5 million euros financed by the German Government through German Bank for Development (KfW) and implemented by Albanian Fund for Development (ADF).
The agreement was signed by the Albanian Minister of Finance, Ridvan Bode, and the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Bernd Borchardt.
