New plan to reduce Mak unemployment

Macedonian Government adopted a new operative plan to reduce unemployment. More than 7,000 persons will be included in self-employment programs, programs intended to formalize existing business and training programs in textile industry. “These measures were implemented in last three to four years and have proven to be effective.
Head of Employment Agency recently stated that the self-employment program had an 85 percent success rate”, declared Minister of Labour and Social Policy Bajrami.
The Government also introduced new subsidy for persons living over 60 kilometres away from their job, who are not working as civil servants in Skopje. Macedonian Government stated that it had no instant solutions for employment problems and promised to work hard on reducing unemployment.
