Power distribution facility put into use in Petrovec

Electricity Transmission System Operator of Macedonia (MEPSO) put into use Wednesday a 110kV power distribution facility in Petrovec municipality.
The investment worth over EUR 1 million will significantly improve electricity distribution in this Skopje region.
Prime Minister Nikola Gruevski wished all citizens a Happy New Year, saying the new facility would solve a big problem for people living in the area.
According to him, several projects exceeding EUR 65 million are to be implemented in the electricity distribution sector over the coming years.
"These include the construction of 400kV transmission line between Macedonia and Serbia, reconstruction of 110kV transmission line Skopje-Tetovo, construction of 110kV transmission line in Bitola, 110kV transmission line Vrutok-Polog-Tetovo, as well as reconstruction of four sub-stations within the MEPSO network", added PM Gruevski.
Investments also include the reconstruction of 110kV transmission line Skopje-Kumanovo, procurement of new system for supervision, management, collection and transfer of data over Macedonia's energy system, construction of 95km-long 400kV transmission line between Bitola and Albania's Elbasan etc.
